The waiter showed us to our table and served us water. The burger and fries were yummy. You can swap the fries for salad and soups for additional $2 more which looks good too.
There’s also a vegetarian option for the burger in which a Beyond meat patty will be used. It’s usually crowded during dinner in summer time.

Excellent lunch and dinner options. Outstanding wine list, awesome cocktails and cool bartenders. Business brings me to Anchorage and Hotel Captain Cook. More often than not, I dine at Fletcher’s. From pizza to their delicious halibut, I have enjoyed just about everything on their menu.
A favorite with locals and visitors.
If you are arriving later in the evening, call ahead, and make a reservation.

I shouldn’t have even went when a native friend of mine told me when they tried to try it after work they called security on her yet stupidly I thought hmmm maybe it’s changed since then. When I was seated he asked everyone professionally “how many??” and yet me he said “oh how may I help you??” Until my grandma arrived no one bothered to check in to order drinks even. When we did order drinks the server was snappy borderline hostile. Ordering the appetizer even saying we haven’t decided on a meal she asked what I wanted 3 times. My drink was gross it tasted unshaken because all the alcohol had settled at the bottom. The seafood chowder was water thin the potatoes were undercooked the clamps where gritty and their was no other “seafood” in their supposed seafood chowder. Once food was ordered it was beyond disgusting. Mine was insanely acidic and my grandmas Alfredo was mostly just butter. It was almost clear and liquid. I found it ridiculous at $30 a plate we were brought stale bottle of Parmesan i could buy at a store for $8 I mean common even Olive Garden gives fresh and frankly tasted better for less. Getting our food the server didn’t bother to check in once and most of our meal we sat with empty water glasses. I noticed she didn’t bother to check into any of her tables and was beyond rude to the gentleman next to us. It was so bad another server asked us if we wanted to go boxes. When I asked for the check she asked my grandmother how we where going to take care of our bill even though I was the one that asked for the bill which I found beyond rude. We weren’t asked if we wanted dessert but at that point I was so done I just wanted to not be there anyway. There are no places I would outright refuse to go this being the one. I wouldn’t say I got food poisoning but i did have a hurt stomach and puked the next day.

My recent dining experience at Fletcher Restaurant in Anchorage, Alaska, was really pleasant. From start to finish, every dish surpassed expectations, showcasing the best of Alaskan seafood cuisine.

The seafood chowder was a highlight, bursting with flavors and packed with fresh ingredients. Each spoonful was a delight, offering a smooth and flavorful experience that left me craving for more.

The smeared Alaskan halibut was a true masterpiece. Cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning, it showcased the natural freshness and sweetness of the seafood. A testament to the chef’s skill and dedication to quality ingredients.

And let’s not forget the fresh oysters, a true delight for any oyster lover. Served with their secret sauce, they were incredibly fresh, sweet, and absolutely irresistible. I could have easily indulged in more of these exquisite starters.

The attentive service staff added to the overall dining experience. Despite a full house, they managed to serve our food promptly.
However, the only downside is, the waiter is overly attentive, giving us the vibes that he is trying to chase us away.

Overall, Fletcher Restaurant is not a bad place for dinning. If the waiter hasn’t been so “pushy”, it will be a pretty awesome dinner experience.

Three of us had lunch midweek. We were seated quickly. We had oysters Rockefeller (very good), seafood chowder (very good), Ruben sandwich (very good) spicy chicken sandwich special (very good) and fish and chips (poor, the batter and fish tasted like it had been bought frozen pre battered. The fish was mushy and the batter thick and doughy). The server was pretty busy so no chance for feed back.

The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was really good and you could tell just how fresh it all is. The restaurant is located inside the hotel and it is beautiful. The vibe is inviting and cozy. It’s a nice place to have a good meal and a glass of wine. I ordered the seafood pasta with clam sauce and it was delicious. I have never seen so many halibut options on a menu but I loved the variety of options. The price point isn’t too bad either, it is what you would expect from a hotel restaurant.

Good food, great place, great atmosphere. They don’t do reservations, first come, first serve. The drinks are good, and the food is great. I’ve been here twice and haven’t had a bad experience yet. It does get busy on the weekends, so make sure you get here early. It’s an open kitchen, so you can see your food being made (depending on where you’re sitting). Not that fancy of a place. This means you’ll see people wearing nice clothing, but the next table is wearing AK Tuff and jeans.

Unfortunately disappointed. First dinner was the infamous Alaska Halibut F&C. The fries were good and crispy. The fish was without flavor except for the deep fried batter. Server was friendly, but for a not very busy time, it took 20 min for him to return to my table, at which point I’d given up on dessert.

Second visit was to get that previously desired dessert – blueberry cobbler, which looked amazing on the menu. Ordered it to-go and host said about 5 minutes. Which while I realized 5 minutes was optimistic, I was greatly disappointed when it came out 30 minutes later. Rushing back to the room (on the other side of the hotel) to enjoy the cobbler while it was still hot & ice cream still cold, was greatly disappointed to be met with the fragrance of charcoal when I opened the box. The small pie shaped wedge of cobbler was burnt to a crisp – only the compote on top was edible.
Needless to say, I will need to enact the 2 strikes you’re out on this eatery. Which is disappointing for me as I’ve heard others had good experiences.
