We were needing a quick stop for lunch by the airport before flying home and chose this spot for pizza. We were delightfully surprised they had an Italian sandwich, not Maine style. The sandwich was delicious and that bread!! We also got the pulled pork with scallions pizza and added mushrooms and pepperoni- it was so good. The crust was thin with a perfect char. We couldn’t decide if the sandwich or pizza was better but all agreed if this place existed in Oklahoma, we’d be regulars.

This pizza was unique and delicious. Price was right on point and service was awesome. I’d love to come back and try more slices.

it’s been a while since I’ve been back to this location, probably at least five or six months. It’s pretty simple. I ordered online exactly what I wanted. I got there just as the girl was bringing the pizzas from the kitchen out to the takeout shelf. She asked me if I need to take out and she checked my name and of course I checked the pizza while I’m there. Being in a hurry, just need to make sure. I ordered extra mozzarella with one pizza the one that was just pepperoni. If I order extra mozzarella, I expect to at least see it, and it was not existent. The server tried to point out to the spots where she thought it was and the she actually asked me if I wanted her to make me another one and honestly, I didn’t have any time given that this was a takeout order. It was a generous offer though but no time. I got home and I looked at the other pizzas under the fresh light and the other pepperoni pizza which was supposed to be a hot honey, pepperoni, and goat cheese with onion, is missing goat cheese. I know these are tough times to find help but the place wasn’t busy. It was a takeout order and it’s pretty straightforward when everything is written down for you that’s supposed to be on the pizza. Not gonna lie it’s a little frustrating…

My husband and I are Otto’s Pizza lovers. Specifically for their gluten free and vegan options! The best gluten free crust in my opinion, though every now and again we give ourselves a cheat day and I happily suffer for their classic dough and garlic bread :). Gorham location sadly closed temporarily, and this location turned into our go to. The service provided at this location is genuine. Management and staff care very much about the quality of food they serve as well as their service! They will always continue to have our business!

The accompanying image displays the pepperoni pizza; however, we also enjoyed the potato pizza, which was exceptionally delicious.

Have spent thousands at different Ottos locations over the years. Grew up near the first one, ate there on the first day they opened.. But damn this sopo location has gone downhill. Just spent 30$ on a pizza that had the worst cut job I’ve ever seen and looks like somebody took a bite out of it before giving it to me.. no DoorDash, I picked this up myself.. I never have issues at other Ottos locations but seen to have nothing but issues at this one.

A bit on the expensive side, but totally worth it. I odered a pepperoni. goat cheese and spicy honey pizza when we visited Boston and I still think about it. It was so crispy yet soft and chewy. Literally one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had

Otto is a great spot for pizza. Crispy crust, flavorful toppings, fast friendly service. Sauce has some zing, sausage was full of flavor, the mashed potato pizza got better as it cooled! Recommended for sure!

We ordered 6 small pizzas from Otto’s Pizza in South Portland last night and had placed a phone order that was supposed to be ready in 30 minutes. When I went to pick them up, the waitress went to check to see when they would be ready and she said they’d be another few minutes, which was fine. During that time, more people kept coming in and their orders either weren’t there or were going to be delayed by 30 to 40 minutes. The waitress in the front kept going out to check on the orders and the boys in the kitchen kept fighting with her and swearing and would get mad at her for trying to find out what was happening with all the pizzas. After waiting another 20 minutes, I asked for an update on my order and she said they kept messing up the order in the back and had to redo it 3 times. My order contained 4 small cheese pizzas and 2 small pepperoni pizzas so it was NOT a complicated order. There were several people who left because they had waited for almost 45 minutes and their pizzas were still amongst the missing. I’m not sure how many people received the wrong orders that finally left with something. I have to give a lot of credit to the waitress who was trying her absolute best to appease people and was doing all she could to try to get the kitchen help to do a better job.She was in tears because she was so frustrated and I can’t blame her. I would have been also.
I don’t know if I’ve ever witnessed a more poorly run kitchen ever as a customer. There was no one that was managing the complete chaos that was going on back there and it was just that, chaos. We eventually got our pizzas after waiting an additional half hour and even the pizzas weren’t that great. There was way too much sauce to cheese ratio and the pizzas were only half covered in cheese.
I can honestly tell you that I would never order from here again, nor would I ever recommend anyone else to order from there either! I am shocked that they are still in business if it’s always run this poorly. The food is also average at best.
