The waitress was quick to seat us, but slow to take our order and even slower to refill our water. They used smaller paper cups for water, which I found strange. Giving the waitress the benefit of the doubt, I can understand that it might be difficult to tell whether a cup is empty. However, it would be best not to assume that everyone has enough water.

I have been to similar places, like Tasty Pot, and the customer experience can vary quite a bit. The prices here are on the higher side, but the portions are slightly larger. I ordered the Thai tomato soup, which was tasty but definitely on the sweeter side; tom yum soup is not supposed to be sweet. It seems they added some sugar or sweetener to the soup base.

We also ordered the House Special soup base (House special (stinky stinky pot in Chinese) The texture of the cabbage in the soup was enjoyable, but if you’re unsure about this dish, you might want to choose something else, as the soup has a strong smell of stinky tofu and is definitely an acquired taste. Overall, the restaurant was decent. The lighting was dim, and the place was neat, but the tables were quite close together, making it easy to overhear other people’s conversations.

I was a guest with my god daughter and her parents.

Long wait on a weekday lunch (40 minutes). Inattentive young staff. I feel like they’re missing a manager / owner presence.

Lackluster food and if you’re selling point is the experience then the experience you must have going for yourself, which they don’t really.

If you want hot pot and better service or experience explore elsewhere first

If you have a dietary restriction and have food here, you will most certainly have problems later as servers don’t give a thing about customers. Food is great. Just bare with the constant mediocre service.

Taiwanese individual hot pot place that deserves more exposure! The stinky tofu is really good! The broth was a bit on the sweet side though……
Btw love the little sauce cans on the side!

I got the Milk Cream Curry Hot Soup and it was delicious! It had a very flavorful curry broth and a subtle sea salt foam on top. The sliced pork was clumped together, but was overall very tender and soaked up the broth well. The sliced potatoes and the fish balls were my favorite part! FYI: It came with vermicelli noodles already, so I recommend getting the rice as your free side. My cousin got the Korean Bean Paste Soup “medium” and it was really spicy for her, so be careful when you’re ordering your spice level!

This is located in the Osaka Marketplace plaza and it was very empty on a Friday night at 7:00 PM. A pretty small location compared to others that I have been to, but overall very clean interior. The staff are a little awkward, but they get the job done. I appreciate that they offered to give us extra soup broth mid-way! Very considerate.

Disappointing. The seafood was mostly regular meat, lots of noodles. They make people wait, while there are empty tables. You gets two of everything. Two overcooked shrimps, two tiny clams, two small rings of squid, lots of starchy clear noodle, topped with lettuce. They are amazing at ignoring the customers; an art form. Even to get napkins.
The 4 causes they have are amazing. Garlic sweet chili rocked. Garlic bean paste seems super popular.

The service was pretty good. They constantly checked on us to see if we need more water or napkins.

The flavor was like the one I had in Irvine, very authentic Taiwanese little hotpot. Would definitely come back again!

I like the hotpot from boiling point. I started to follow the food when it was only in LA. Their sauces, garlic hot sauces are very taste with the hot pot. However, I was disappointed this one in Fremont. First, we ordered the flaming level of spiciness. It’s disappointed. It’s not that spicy at all. Second, ww ordered the free drinks that offers during lunch. But they were delivered in wrong order. I asked the waiter three times, he was firmly sure that he brought us the right one. We decided to let it go. Third, our hotpots was another disaster. Well, it wasn’t a big deal that he put the wrong orders to wrong person. But, it just made us feel not that pleasant. The last, I had to ask them where was my appetizer. After all, these impacted my mood.

After they opened it in Northern California for a few years, I felt that it was no longer so delicious because of the changes in ingredients and the taste of the dipping sauce.

I tried Fremont again today and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was much better than four years ago. Dipping sauce is much better and more meat now .

$20 for lunch , come with drink , rice or noodle your choice.

Will get this restaurant 3.5 star

We would have given it four stars if it based on the second visit at which we ordered Taiwanese Spicy Hot Soup and Sliced Beef. Both items underwhelmed us as we had high expectation given by our first visit. The soup was too spicy and the slice beef was lack in flavor. We really enjoyed House Special Hot Soup and Holy Cow on our first visit (highly recommended). The soup had a very clean refreshing flavor, and the holy cow had this tender and jelly like texture, and chilly oil flavor. We finished every bit of it.
