888 Japanese BBQ in Las Vegas is one of those places that’s absolutely worth trying, but you need to go in with a game plan. The $45 Option C sounds tempting, but honestly wasn’t worth it. The “premium” meats are limited in how many you can order, which totally kills the vibe. Option B is the move; you still get plenty of great cuts without the restrictions.

The Yelp check-in situation is its own mini-game. Sometimes they don’t turn on the online waitlist until after they seat the first wave, so even if wait, you may end up with a one-hour-plus wait.

Once you’re in, though, the service is great. The wait staff is super attentive, although the hostess could be nicer. The servings and cuts of meat are small, so order higher quantities up front since you’re only allowed five different items per menu section at a time. S’mores dessert included.

On the plus side, grilling is a joy here; the built-in smoke vacuum is clutch and you won’t leave smelling like a yakiniku campfire.

Prices are very reasonable and the meat quality is superb. I recommend the Prime (middle or B) AYCE. The meat is definitely better than their ramen or sushi, but the snow crab and the salmon carpaccio were great. The service was amazing and the nigori sampler was great. I recommend the original or the matcha. The grill has ventilations around the edges making sure that most of the smoke is vented away.

Great service here. Every time we ordered, they came out fast which was nice since you do have a time limit. All the meats were soo good and we were obsessed with the cabbage appetizer.
I wouldn’t recommend the cocktails as the ones we got were very sweet and syrupy and did not seem to have alcohol but you can’t go wrong with their ice cold pitchers of beer and sake.

Even on one of the busiest roads in Vegas during the post-work rush, 888 Japanese BBQ is absolutely worth the trip. We went as a party of two and only waited a couple of minutes for a table, which was a great start.

The service was lightning-fast, and our server was incredibly nice, giving us the perfect recommendations on what to order. If you’re going, get the most premium All-You-Can-Eat package. It’s the only way to go because you get the absolute best of the best they have to offer.

As a huge fan of Bulgogi, I can tell you the quality here is top-tier. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking for 90 minutes of great food, cooking, and fun.

Pro tip: Definitely save room for the strawberry ice cream at the end. I could barely finish everything we ordered, but it was so good I managed to get through it all.

Mmmm, already planning the trip back! Highly recommend

FINALLY got a table after living here for a decade and only going to the other 2 spots. I’m suggestion is to go week days before 1pm if possible. If you go Friday-Saturday expect long waits especially at night. No reservations but wait list option through yelp! If you check in with yelp you get a free ice cream too! I really love eating here. Truly is the best place out of the 3 in my opinion considering the abundance of options
Can’t wait to go back

If you’re like me, this is a perfect restaurant for you. The Japanese barbecue is very similar to your Korean barbecue but it has different types of meats. We ordered the C-section of the menu and which gives you all of the Kobe beef dishes. We ordered all of the Kobe selections and they were all delicious.

You have many different restaurant choices in Las Vegas for Korean barbecue and Japanese barbecue but you have to try 888 Japanese BBQ because I believe it is worth it.

The service was fantastic, the food came out fast, the only thing I miss from the Korean BBQ compared to Japanese barbecue are the sides that you get at a Korean BBQ.

We definitely enjoyed all of what we had ordered, including some of the sushi was pretty decent as well. They only have rolls, not the Nigiri sushi.
Keep in mind when you make a reservation you are will be notified by text message when your table is ready and you have 5 minutes to comply to the text message in person or you will lose your spot. You can make a call to the restaurant to be on the waiting list but you must be present when they text you.

This place was genuinely outstanding. First off service was great. We showed up after our allowed window, granted I had called that we were running behind, and they still accommodated even with a full house. Our waitress was quick with anything we asked for, was not pushy on trying to get us to order too quickly yet still attentive to when our table was getting empty. And very quick to recommend items after I asked. I will always ask servers their opinion on what to get with no other details, and I enjoy when they don’t panicked and are able to recommend what they think we would like.

The food was awesome, $45 for an all you can eat is standard. But for something of this quality, it is pretty mind blowing. The spicy miso was very rich and was great to balance my palate from all of the meat. I came in very skeptical of the quality of the Kobe due to the price but I was not disappointed. Granted it isn’t the same as Kobe in Japan, but for being in the states it is a very good cut at this price. Crazy thing is I didn’t even try the sushi either, I feel that the value you get for the food is one of the best. And I must recommend the Kobe beef carpaccio. And I will reiterate once more that I MUST recommend the Kobe beef carpaccio. Yes it was that good. It is something you really must experience for yourself. All of the items marked with the red circle are limited at 1 serving per guest, but is is all the very premium cuts so that’s understandable.

Ambiance was great, mood lighting the charcoal grills and one detail we very much enjoyed was the choice of birthday song, in da club – 50 cent.

Hands down genuinely one of the greatest restaurant experiences I’ve had. I just simply do not give restaurants 5 stars unless they are perfect, but 888 really did impress me.

Am planning on making another trip back to Vegas strictly for the food and this will be on the list for sure!

Great service from both front desk and my waiter Wes. I chose the highest AYCE option because I like filet mignon and that includes unlimited filet while the middle option only gives you one serving of filet. Can only order 5 options from each category: sushi, appetizer, meat/veg, etc. at a time. I prefer ordering a few things at a time but that’s just me. Otherwise if you cook a lot of meat and veg at once, you can’t eat fast enough and food cools. Tastes better hot. Highly recommend the Kobe and salmon carpaccio. Normally I like lettuce wrapped around meat but they don’t offer lettuce as a side so the next best thing is the radish wraps. The bbq gets very hot so attention to food flipping is a must. I over charred my asparagus and filet a few times when I got distracted. But everything was brought out fresh and delicious.

Great deal for an all you can eat KBBQ for $35 getting all the LA Kalbi you want. They have a great selection of sushi and meats and honestly everything was solid quality. The only downside is this place is so busy and packed but it’s because it’s such a great deal! Worth coming out and definitely get a reservation if you plan on going. There is a 90 minute total time limit so order plenty. Definitely worth visiting again.

recently had dinner at 888 Japanese BBQ, and overall, it was a great experience. The quality of the meat was outstanding—tender, flavorful, and perfectly fresh. The rice was also excellent: fluffy, well-cooked, and a great complement to the rest of the meal. I especially enjoyed the sushi rolls, which were beautifully made and full of balanced flavor.

That said, there were a couple of small things that could be improved. The reservation process felt a bit confusing and more complicated than it needed to be. Also, I was a bit surprised to see the meat being cut with regular scissors—it worked fine, but it took away a bit from the otherwise high-end feel of the meal.

Still, the food and service were fantastic overall, and I’d happily come back again. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great Japanese BBQ!
