Amazing authentic Indian cuisine with an exceptional variety of vegetarian options. Simran was an absolutely proficient server who went above & beyond to ensure we had the best experience service. Quite possibly the best Indian restaurant in Aberdeen – don’t pass by it.

The menu is varying and has something for everyone…. make sure the chilli numbers are noted on the menu as the food can certainly pack a punch. Still, the flavours are able to come through.
Whatever the green spiced sauce is on the starters needs to be immediately bottled and sold, it’s certainly a condiment that I can see going with any savoury dish, so annoyed I forgot to ask!!!

Booked the private dining area for 25 people mid-week. Staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone was very happy with their food – beautifully presented and wonderful flavours. Although many menu items have dairy, we were able to request in our pre-order vegan versions of the veggie dishes. We had a birthday in our group and they accommodated this very well and made a fuss of her. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I’m from India and came to Aberdeen for office work. After trying several restaurants around the city, I can say that 8848 Restaurant is the best so far! Their Veg Thali and other dishes are absolutely delicious — full of authentic flavors and great variety.
I also tried Travancore, but honestly, all the dishes there tasted very similar, which was a bit disappointing.
If you’re in Aberdeen and craving Indian food, I highly recommend 8848 for a satisfying and tasty experience!

This restaurant had very good Google reviews and we were nearby so it was time to check this one out.
We came in pretty early so we there was sitting place enough and not many people were present. After a quick look in the menu we ordered. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. Including some explanation what was a hot dish and not.
The ambiance is very modern with a touch of Indian and Nepal influences.
The food was very good and more than enough. It was very enjoyable to sit and eat here so the reviews were not overdone.
