Good time at 84 Tavern. I liked the varied selection of beers and the atmosphere was lively and energetic. We had the Flathead pizza, bacon wrapped goat cheese stuffed dates, and the cauliflower “steak” entree. All were very good and reasonably priced. We sat in the bar area, which was large and laid back. We will definitely go again.

This place was fantastic! Outside did not look appealing but the interior is well-designed. We had brunch here consisting of French toast, eggs & homefries as well as an omelette meal for my wife. All of it was delicious. Coffee was good and the cocktails were even better. Service was excellent and the prices too. I would highly recommend this place, especially for brunch!

Let me just preface this review by saying that I grew up around and working in the food and alcohol service industry.

So there we were; no sh!+. Monday evening, the known money evening for all industry folk (eye roll). My partner and I sat at the bar for dinner, fully aware of our ages and state law regarding our situation. While ordering drinks and perusing the menu we were informed by the bar tender that it violated “state law” to have someone eating dinner at the bar seated there if they were under twenty-one years of age. This isn’t just a lie, this is lying to those who pay your rent and trust in the labels on your food and beverage.

Which begs the question; if they’re lying to customers up front, what is happening behind scenes? I’m honestly not even one bit sorry this will cost you your job. You are very obviously overpaid and undertrained. To add insult to injury; I’m a member of a worldwide fraternal organization that has thousands of members passing through (and sharing experiences in and around) Westerly.

The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding while the fried raviolis were easily panned. The 84 Golden Ale was laughable at best.

1/5. Wouldn’t poop here again.

Attended a Birthday party at this establishment. The staff were very friendly and very attentive to everyone’s needs. Everyone had a great time. Looking forward to my next visit.

If you’re in the area definitely give this place a visit! the food was amazing and so were the staff. Great atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The buffalo chicken tortillini was incredible! The sauce wasn’t overly buffalo tasting but had a kick all the same. The chicken and choke was really tasty as well. I wish I lived nearby so I could make regular visits!

As I walked into the front door I was greeted by a crowded bar in front with a few high tops against the wall. The bar was crowded and it seemed like everyone turned around when I walked through the door which is not unusual for Westerly. After a few seconds they returned to their chatter and I waited at the podium for a seat in the empty dining room to the left. No one came to help me for a long time. When I finally got a seat I was delighted by our fun waiter and great happy hour drink prices – house wine was $4 per glass, a decent brand, and craft beer specials. They have a reduced price munchie menu. The fried cauliflower was outstanding. I loved all the dipping sauce. The half cobb salad is very generous. I will go back .

My husband and I live in Westerly and brought our out of town friend here for brunch. It did NOT disappoint. They have delicious brunch foods and cocktails alike. The waitstaff was pleasant. We were happy with the atmosphere of laid back brewery. We will definitely be back!

Our family and friends have been eating here for over 10 years. We had our son’s First Holy Communion and his Confirmation dinners here. It was always great with attentive staff and the desire to make positive experiences.

After several recent breakfast and lunch experiences (the past 6 months) we will not return due to an obvious change in standards.

On our last visit we were insulted with burned food and stern wait staff. We will not return.

Waitress was awesome. The food did not wow me. We had the prime rib dinner. It was over cooked. We wanted medium rare, ordered it that way and it was delivered medium. I think they should have told us that the steak was over cooked and medium rare was not available, giving g us the option of changing the order. To their credit they comped us the appetizer. Over all I wasn’t impressed. It had been a while since we visited here, it will be a while again.
