Ok…books?!….Honey asked me to overlook the dry scraps of “turkey tips.” Disappointed because there was actually a $4 upcharge that I paid! Overall, other than that, I’d give it an A. The sides are plentiful and we ordered a small! Cole Slaw…fiya! Greens…could use more picking…..too many stems….Yams were cool….mac and cheese cool, too. The rib tips…..big, meaty….fiya! The mixed sauce still had some good welcome heat….the spicy sauce….booommbbb!!! The chicken wings were probably good if they weren’t soggy already, as well as the fries. The reason they still deserve an A is because if it was all on point just a notch more it would all be totally worth it and delicious! Over all….good.

I really wanted to like it, but the portions were small and did not taste good. You can see the pix of my $12 jumbo wings (6 wing sections, not whole wings), my $15 large pork tips, and my $12 smoked turkey leg. The wings were kinda hard; the tips were very mushy; and the leg was a bit tough. At least it all came with fries.

Damn good BBQ. We arrived a little after 6:30pm on a Tuesday, so they didn’t have too many items available but I had the 79th street combo which includes rib tips/ 2 links with a side of Mac n cheese and yams to go. The links are a bit spicy (that’s not a complaint) and the rib tips are fire the sauce is on point, not too sweet, not too spicy. Combos come with slices of white bread. The Mac n cheese was okay but the yams… DELICIOUS! I’ll definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu.

I have been here three times once for take out and twice for dining in. I have eaten the rib tips there were really good and tender, the portion size was good and the flavor was exactly what I was looking for. I was impressed with the dining space and the music was really nice I’m an old school r&b guy. The really great thing about this place is the customer service, the young lady who served us was very customer service oriented very nice and friendly. I believe her name is Jaye she was knowledgeable, helpful and made sure we had a very enjoyable dining experience. I am a business consultant by trade and I know that customer service make make or break a business. My sister who is a chef and restaurant manager was with me and asked to speak with the cook so she could compliment him and talk shop. Keep up the good work and we will be back to enjoy the ambiance and great dining experience at your establishment. Keep up the good work!.

I ordered turkey tips and chicken wings from this establishment for the first time and the food was delicious. Tender, juicy and well seasoned with generous amounts of barbecue sauce. The prices were competitive…inflation is hitting everyone hard. The staff was nice as well. I plan to order again soon.

Worse service ever! First their system was down so I couldn’t order until I got there. Then because the system was down you had to pay cash only. After waiting 25 minutes for my order, I drove several miles all the way home, only to find that my order was incorrect. I called and spoke to a very rude person who said her name was “J” and that she was the manager. Her only solution was for me to drive all the way back there to return the food and pick up my correct order. No apology was given. She simply said “people make mistakes and that I need to comply with their restaurant rules. I couldn’t believe my ears! How does anyone stay in business who talks to customers like that. They definitely need better training on how to correctly fix orders and how to speak to customers! I will never go back and I am going to tell everyone I know not to go there!

This place likes to lie to get you to come in and buy their food. First they wont take phone orders because they say people don’t show up for their orders. Um wonder why?They have not had baby back ribs for over a month now but they will lie saying yes we have. When I arrive I place my order they then charge me for the food I pay but when they bring out the ribs they are Louis ribs which I don’t want. They act like I should accept the ribs I don’t want stating these ribs are more expensive. Of course I want my money back and these fool don’t want to refund my money for something I did not order. This was the second time they have done this to me. Of course I blew up and they gave me my money. Shady people at a shady business. This is one black Business I will no longer support. The rib spot before you Famous Dave’s didn’t survive due to poor customer service. Hope yours meets the same faith.

Portions are small for the price compared to other restaurants. I’m glad I tried them as it does taste good and the meat is very tender, I just can’t justify paying so much for so little. An 8% price reduction is needed to stay competitive. Once that happens or if the portions become larger then I will become a repeat customer. I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way. Until then I will have to go elsewhere.
