We used to go to Frontera all of the time until our location closed. This is the only restaurant that is similar. It’s still not the same. My complaint about coming to 7 tequilas is that when you get the choose 3 items you don’t get a very big portion (ordered off of dinner menu). I finished mine really quick because there wasn’t a lot of food and was still hungry after. You get a small portion of rice and beans too. The decorations were wonderful for Halloween though! I love when people make an atmosphere that is very fun and well done! Most restaurants don’t realize when you make an effort for the atmosphere it adds tremendously to your experience. They did a great job!

Side note… you can’t order food Togo on their website. You can only order through a third party such as Grubhub, Uber eats, etc.

I came here once before with my son and was so in love with the salsa (particularly the roasted one that comes out warm) that I didn’t even eat the tacos that I ordered. We came back today and I tried a chimichanga supreme. I ordered what was listed as shredded beef, but as you can see, it’s more of a ground beef. I don’t care at all because it’s delicious! It came with rice, but I gave that to my son because I don’t eat the rice and he loves it. He ordered the chimichanga de Carnita and said that the meat was pretty dry and bland by itself, so not as happy as he usually is. The salsa was just as good today as it was before and the food comes out quickly.

The service is good, but since you don’t get a physical menu and have to scan the barcode and scroll through your phone to look at the menu, they keep coming back too quickly to see if you’re ready to order without giving you much of a chance to look to see what’s available. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated, I personally think the music is a little too loud to hold a conversation because everyone around you is trying to compensate and talk louder.

Went here for the first time today after hearing great things for months. Great first experience! Our server was great! He recommended the hibiscus margarita, which turned out to be the best margarita I’ve had in a while! We split queso, I got the chicken taco salad and my boyfriend got the big flautas – it was all really yummy! The atmosphere was great too, music isn’t too loud and decor was nice. Will be going back!

7 Tequilas Mexican Restaurant has a festive vibe, good food, and top-tier tequila (ask for top shelf you won’t be disappointed). Their margaritas are made with fresh ingredients! Our server was so kind and patient with our large table, and we never felt rushed or unseen. I’ll definitely be back and next time I’ll remember to take more than just a drinks photo! Thank you to our server guy!

Extremely disappointing experience. We came in with a larger party and were told there would be a 45-minute wait, which we completely understood. What we didn’t understand was watching multiple smaller groups walk in after us and get seated immediately while we continued to wait with no real explanation or effort to accommodate us.

It became very clear that this restaurant prioritizes turning over small tables quickly instead of fairly managing larger parties. After waiting well past the quoted time, we even offered to split up and take separate tables just so we wouldn’t keep holding things up — and they still made us wait over an hour.

At that point, the issue wasn’t the wait itself, it was the poor communication and lack of consideration. Don’t quote 45 minutes if it’s going to be well over an hour. If you’re coming with more than 2–3 people, don’t expect to be treated fairly. Really disappointing management and a frustrating start to what should have been a good night out.

ADDENDUM A YEAR LATER 12/31/2025: It seems that everything has gone up in price, however this does not justify them being Stingy with their complimentary Salsa & Chips on the TOGO orders. We recently noticed that their Salsas come in those tiny ramekins and their chips in tiny little bags. I discussed this with a Manager who explained that their Chef decides how much to serve since he controls his food costs! It’s funny, since when eating in you get unlimited free refills on these without hesitation. Their chips baskets are easily 2 or 3 times larger than their tiny bags. Even though this is by far our most favorite Mexican Restaurant- it’s leaving us with an unforgettable bitter taste. They increased their prices like everyone else – they should accommodate customers’ needs and requests, please!!!

Our Favorite Neighborhood Mexican Cantina!! Used to be Frontera but they moved across the street & no longer measured up!! Dani, the Chief Greeter at 7 Tequilas is always AWESOME! She recognizes us, welcomes us always w a smile , helps us for any & all reasons…! If she’s not an owner or manager…she ought to be. The Food & Drinks are always up to par … this time our Server Naftali was great. The place was packed on a Saturday eve… he didn’t miss a beat. Highly Recommend this Resto! Go Hungry & Thirsty!

We actually had a good atmosphere here, the food was okay, but just before we’d finished, she kept asking if we were finished and immediately cleared the table, even though the kids weren’t finished yet. Then the bill came, and it was split between two people, completely disproportionate. Absolutely outrageous; we definitely didn’t want that. At first, I thought it was a joke! The prices didn’t quite match the menu, and I always check my bill. She noticed and kept asking if anything was wrong. Very pushy! Not even a “goodbye”!! Guys, I’m not cheeky enough to explain friendliness to you! You don’t have to embarrass your guests!! Thanks anyway.

Service was good, food not so good. Chicken verde enchiladas came out cold even though on a heated plate.

There was so much lettuce, avocado and cream cheese over them that it cooled them down immediately. Compared to all the stuff on top the enchiladas were pretty small as well.

Price was not to bad but left hungry. Will not be back. To many good Mexican restaurants near me.

Great food and service!

This is my 5th time here for dinner and my friends have been coming here for years. What I’ve experienced is what they have – consistently quick service and excellent food.

Ironically enough they made a mistake on my order but it was still a steak dish so I decided to try it vs sending it back…wow was it good. The steak was medium and it had a little cheese something on the side with rice. Very delicious!

Everyone here is super nice and you can’t go wrong if you’re looking for Mexican food in this area.

If I could give this location -1 I would. I just left this location about 20 minutes ago. I went to the location in Marietta square a couple weeks and loved it! Food, drinks and most importantly customer service were on point. I decided to go to the Alpharetta location today. I ordered a drink, a couple minutes later the bartender did ask if I wanted food. I had made up my mind yet. He disappeared for about 20-25 minutes. In the meantime, another bartender was working the bar. A customer sat at the bar and from their interaction it seemed like he was a regular. After she was done getting him his drink order, this lady did not acknowledge me. She came back about 10-15 minutes later and took the same customers order. After she was done with that, she still did not acknowledge me and proceeded to put up glasses on the bar. Another customer comes and sit downs, she acknowledged him!! I asked for my check and asked her did she not see me???! I’ve been sitting here and she didn’t say anything. She proceeds to tell me that I didn’t say anything to her! I am the customer, why would I need to say anything to you before you even acknowledged me sitting at this bar. She proceeds to be rude and then puts her hand up to me. That for me was very triggering and is a sign of aggression. She calls over the original bartender to print out my receipt. I ask for a a manger and she then shakes her head and starts laughing. I’m not even talking to this lady!! I tell her to mind her business. The manager comes over and claims he would talk to her. He was nonchalant about it. I paid my check and left. I talked to the manager at the Marietta location and he was way more apologetic about the situation.
