The customer service is pretty good. Our waiter was extremely nice and sweet. We didn’t wait long to be seated or to be waited on. Our food came fairly on time and we were checked on frequently on drinks and everything else. Our main complaint was the Mariachi. It’s seems like is a service the restaurant provides, but it is not. They are there singing and approaching tables without providing prices or giving info about being a separate entity from the restaurant. We went to celebrate my dad’s birthday, we were eating when one of the Mariachi guys approached our table and asked who was the birthday person. We pointed at our Dad and they just proceeded to sing a happy birthday song. We thought it was nice, although we weren’t asked nor we asked for a song. Then, this guy asked us if we wanted another song and we said no. So he proceeded to charge us $25 dollars for that ONE song. We payed, because we didn’t want to make my dad feel bad. But it was definitely a bad experience. I think the restaurant needs to clarify those prices since they are inside their building. I don’t think we would go back again.

I don’t normally post reviews but I have to… this food was really bad. The salsa is full of sugar, the taco had zero flavor, and the stuffed pepper had a sugary red sauce on top. The food is not seasoned at all, it’s just cooked. I had to put a lot of salt on everything just to eat it. I wasted my calories and money on this, and I am very disappointed.

7 Mares is a unique Mexican restaurant. Yes, you can get traditional Mexican food there, but they specialize in seafood! Fish and shrimp. Of course these are served with a Mexican Flare. I just stopped in for lunch on Cinco de Mayo. First time I have ever been here even though I drive past it quite often. I had the speedy Gonzalez. A taco and an enchilada with refried beans and rice. First, the chips are different here. They are made from flat tostada type shells I believe but somehow, they are either air fried or puffed and some kind of way that makes them really good. The salsa is not your traditional salsa. It’s more like a pico de gallo with its own unique flavor. But again it is very good! It also comes with a side of some green dipping sauce that I thought was guacamole, but I’m not quite sure. Maybe some type of Verde sauce. But it was still good also. I need to explore more things on their menu even though I am not really a seafood person. I will explore more of their traditional Mexican restaurant type of foods, but from what I had today, I do like this place! I will be back!

If you’re tired of the same old American-style Mexican offerings in the Cola market, give this place a try. On a busy Saturday afternoon, we were quickly seated and ordered our large Dos Equis Dark and iced tea. The thick round chips were served with a tasty homemade sweet/hot salsa. My wife had a chicken quesodea. I had the Carnitas entree. Not sure if the pork is flash fried before serving? Hot and oh so tender. Among the best Carnitas that I’ve had in recent memory. Prompt service.
8/3 update…Oscar took care of us at the bar today. My wife had the Chicken Fajitas. I spurlged and spent $28 on a bowl of soup?? Unfreaken believable. The Caldo 7 Mares soup is full of seafood variety…fish, whole shrimp, half a lobster tail, half a blue crab, mussels, squid, octopus, and clams in a beautiful Mexican broth. Munch on some of their chips with the soup for added texture.
The Tacos and Quesadillas are really good for the money if you’re eating light.

Great portions, cheaper and better tasting than local Mexican establishments. Drinks came out in seconds and food not much longer. Only downside is it’s in a strip mall and not very noticeable. You have to try for yourself. I’ll see you there. ***So after coming back several times I have now started tackling their traditional seafood menu. Wow the flavor of these dishes are heaven. Some of the dishes for 2 can be made for one and is a must try! Their soup base is some of the best seafood soup base I have ever had. Also try their charro beans. Yum!!!

The place was nice, the atmosphere was great, the music was incredible, the staff was friendly and best, best, best of all was the food. My meal was so delicious, flavorful, and filling i was in heaven. Large portion and worth it. The manager was great and kind. I will be back here again soon.

If you are expecting “typical” American Mexican salsa, this is not the place. The CHUNKY “pico” style sala is sweet and the green runny sauce is good (guessing tomatillo based?). Neither has any hint of heat. The margarita was just ok. Ordered chicken fajitas. Could not eat them. It tasted like they were cooked with shrimp or fish. The manager said they are cooked completely separate… Maybe just the seasoning? The manager was quick to bring out another dish! Their chips were definitely homemade. They were good. They do charge for more chips though… We wouldn’t not go again, but it would not be our 1st choice. The margarita seems a bit pricey.
