The atmosphere is great, and the food is really good. Want sweet potato fries? Come here!! They’re the best I’ve had in any restaurant. The chicken wrap was really good and flavourful. And the apple pie? OMG. The crust was SO. GOOD. Just melted in your mouth. It is pricey, but it is Hockessin, and the food is worth the price. The waitress that we had came across as having poor manners, though it really seemed like she was just having a really bad day. Would definitely recommend!

So we’ve been going to 6 pauper’s for years. Quality of food and service has been going down each time, prices always going up though. This time (4th of July) was worst so far. Slow service, poor quality food. Not busy, so that wasn’t an excuse. Overall bad management is my guess. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Forgot to mention salt shaker was rock solid…took lid off, held upside down, good for a laugh but terrible for a fancy restaurant! Drinks were not refilled…we had to ask 3 times.

My first time there, and everything was wonderful. I ordered the crispy brussel sprout Ceasars salad, and the mushroom ravioli. I will definitely recommend others to dine here. I will be returning. Thank you for such a delightful experience.

Good tavern food. Pub ambience with friendly staff and service! The pork dish with mashed potato and fried Brussels sprouts was very tasty. Nachos appetizers and fried prawn also good.

I’m definitely recommending 6P to my locals. My Cobb was Santa Barbara fresh as it gets and worth repeat visits. They’ve got an outstanding bar too. I watched the group next to me order every cocktail in the book and 6P served them with ease.

I go there every Thursday for a poker league, arriving before the game to enjoy time at their beautiful bar with friendly bartenders and to have a good meal. The menu offers continual specials so always something new to try. Poker is played in their private backroom with excellent service throughout the evening. Great bar and restaurant!

Man do I hate spending good money for bad food. A place that does pub food should have great apps, so we got 3: the giant crab pretzel, cheesesteak egg rolls, and calamari. The pretzel was huge but had such a funky flavor to it. It was subtle when it was hot but as it cooled, it became weirder and weirder until it was inedible, with about half remaining. The calamari was thin and tiny; cheap, frozen stuff. The egg rolls were fine, nothing to write home about. None of it was worth filling up on, so I got a side salad for my dinner, which was overpriced for what it was. We also got the ribs, which were pretty good. Service was inattentive (busy bartender, understandable) though friendly and knowledgeable. I wish he’d steered us away from our choices, honestly. Our meal was nowhere, nowhere, nowhere near worth the prices.

Very nice place. Very Tasty Cheesesteak. You have to pay the Hockessin price of $12. It did come with french fries. The Cheesesteak was very small. Very good ingredients. Very good grill person. It was a very small cheesesteak. It also needed more cheese. What I really liked about six Paupers is they keep a nice selection of beer on tap. Specifically they always have a sour on tap. Very good overall experience, it was just a small cheesesteak.
