This place is ridiculously . I loved my time here. The food was out this world. I highly recommend it. Me and my partner made reservations to celebrate Valentines Day a day prior because I had work on the actual festive day and we luckily found availability. We’re definitely going back. Our waitress was great as well, very detailed in what they offered and played a huge part in what we decided to order at the end The whole experience was absolutely amazing especially for it being our first time visiting the place.

We had an amazing experience at 5th Street Steakhouse! We came here for Yumi’s birthday celebration since we had to work all day on her actual birthday and Valentine’s Day, and it was the perfect place to celebrate.
From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and professional. The atmosphere feels upscale yet comfortable—perfect for a special night out or a celebratory dinner.
The steaks were absolutely phenomenal! Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. Every side dish we tried was just as impressive, and the drinks were beautifully crafted. You can really tell they care about quality and consistency here. (Thank you Josh for helping us today!)

This was our first time visiting 5th Street Steakhouse, and it absolutely blew us away. Everything from the food to the service to the drinks was perfect.
We started at the bar, where Amelia took incredible care of us. She was inviting, knowledgeable, and quick, making us feel like we’d been regulars for years. Her drink recommendations were spot on, and her friendly energy set the tone for the entire evening.
Our server, Shaylee, was equally amazing — attentive, sweet, and effortlessly efficient. She made our dining experience seamless and truly top-notch.
A little back story: we just moved to Chico after living in Europe for the past seven years. We’ve been spoiled by the food overseas and, honestly, hadn’t found anywhere in the States that really impressed us… until now. 5th Street Steakhouse delivered everything we’d been missing flavorful, perfectly prepared food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service.
Huge shoutout to the chef for crafting such an exceptional meal. Every bite was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned you can tell there’s real passion and skill in that kitchen.

We came here for our anniversary for happy hour, it’s truly a great value for a quick bite and a few drinks. We had the calamari, the sliders, and onion rings. The sliders and the onion rings were so good, we really enjoyed those. The bartenders/ servers were really attentive and great all around. The only downside I’d say is that the tables are a little small on the bar side, which is where you sit for happy hour, it makes it hard to get more than a couple things as you can see in the photo. But otherwise, it’s not that big of a deal, it’s easy to navigate. We started with the old fashioned and had a couple strawberry lemon drops to end our early dinner. As I mentioned, it truly was a great value for the entire thing we only spent around $100 for two people. I highly recommend the happy hour here, you should definitely try it. But keep in mind, it is a smaller bar area, so if you’re coming in a big group it might not work out too well but I’m sure the nice servers can help figure it out.
I’ve also been here in the past for work events which they have private rooms for if you’re interested for the bigger groups, etc. I had the surf and turf, it was amazing, super flavorful and the veggies were perfect. I don’t recall what the other plate was called now but it was also very good, the mashed potatoes were great. We will definitely back for the regular dinner menu in the future.

We went in knowing it would be a delicious treat, and the food fully lived up to those expectations time and time again. We ordered the surf and turf with prawns and garlic mashed potatoes, along with the bacon jam with Brie, which was outstanding and a perfect start to the meal. The prawns were cooked beautifully, and the garlic mashed potatoes were exceptionally smooth and not a single lump, just rich, creamy perfection.
What truly set the evening apart was the service and thoughtfulness of the staff. Our server, Kara H., was incredible, attentive, genuine, and warm throughout the entire experience. To top it off, every single staff member hand-signed a birthday card for my wife, which was an incredibly thoughtful and memorable gesture that made the night feel truly special.

We stopped in on Valentine’s Day evening after a show. It was 9:45. We did not have a reservation so we sat at the bar. We didn’t want to be “those people” who order right when the kitchen is closing. However the staff and bartender did not make us feel rushed or like we were rude for ordering in late. The food was fabulous and so were the old fashions. I would recommend coming here. The service and atmosphere were fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We had such a great time! Our server was excellent. Our food was delicious, as expected. My husband got a giant steak. The garlic mashed potatoes were fluffy and flavourful. The asparagus was perfectly steamed, cooked with a slight crunch. I got a deconstructed wellington, with a mushroom duxelle puff pastry! So divine! like a piece of art on my plate! It was a great time. The Old Fashioned drink hit the spot and the real maraschino cherry was dark, rich, and sweet. We hadn’t been here in over ten years but we finally found a way. Thanks for a lovely evening.
