We had a great experience at the 5th Quarter! I got the fried tenderloin sandwich which was great! It was seasoned well, fried crispy, & served piping hot. My wife got a grilled chicken salad which she raved about. The ranch is homemade & she loved it, not nearly as much as the grilled chicken though, she wants to go back just to get that again! We shared a cheese curve ball appetizer which was really good & we got B’Rookie Sunday for dessert which was humongous! We really could have just gone there & shared that & been happy. It’s definitely a place we’ll be going to again.

We were heading out for a date night drive, figuring out dinner on the way. Central Iowa houses so many amazing smalltown options and we love hopping in the car and just going somewhere – no plan, no destination. With both of us being absolute control freaks, this is quite possibly the only hobby or activity, in our lives, of which we can have no plan and be OK with it. 
We decided to drive south, thinking maybe Winterset, IA. We made it as far as Van Meter from WDM/Booneville (so like 8 miles?) and decided to try out 5th Quarter Bar & Grill. It didn’t disappoint – less than 10min down the road and we’re just now finding this place. We will be back!
Wings: plain with sides of Bourbon, Asian Chili, Garlic and Ranch. Even without sauce the wings were good, and we liked that they weren’t heavily battered.
Rueben was awesome – in-house sliced pastrami yielded thicker slices (not shaved like so many) and it was so good. Got an extra side of sauerkraut and yummmm! But the onion rings drove this one home – definitely made in-house and so good.
And they have the good ranch. This is important!
Grilled Tenderloin was good – could’ve used a little more seasoning but it’s grilled pork so ♀️ altogether in the sandwich it was still very good. Coated fries were piping hot, and yes – it came with more “good ranch”.
They no longer do Breakfast – sadly – wish we could’ve tried it but our fantastic server Tegan said it never took flight, so they stopped doing it. Attentive service.
All food + 3 Mic Ultras was $67. We will be back! — at 5th Quarter Bar & Grill.

Nice local place. We won a gift certificate from an event (love that they’re charitable!), so drove from Des Moines to get dinner. Very friendly service. Answered all our questions and we had yummy food. I enjoyed the breaded mushrooms and ranch. It was Taco Tuesday. Beef was a little greasy, but it’s a taco! I liked the sauce and you can’t go wrong with tots for a side. They have good food and drink specials throughout the week. Their card machine was down when we went to pay, but they were able to do a manual entry no problem. Overall we enjoyed our meal and experience.

Everything was delicious, hot and quick. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and my BF had wings.
The star however was thier amazing mozzarella sticks. I have never had anything like them. They were huge! Almost like they sliced of the end of the chub and battered that. Plus it was a really good marinara sauce.
It was really busy when we arrived but there was still a table left. Our waitress was great as was her service.
I highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area.

Pizza burger was super delicious, had great flavor. Fries and tots were both perfectly crispy. Nachos were good, but had a little too much cheese that clumped together when cooled.
Service was a bit slow. Appeared to have one server/bar tender during lunch hour on a Saturday.

My family was very appreciative for the high level of customer service. Today, we had 21 in our party, Angel I believe did outstanding job with all of from drinks to go boxes. I realize the cooks were awesome with their great timing with our food. Just a big shout out to 5th Quarter
for all you did today. It was a emotional day for us as we had just buried both parents. They went above and beyond when I asked if cupcakes could be brought in. You all made this day a pleasant experience at such a sad time for us. Thank you again so much. Kelly Dennis.

You’ve got to check this restaurant/ bar out. Gannon is one of the chefs/cooks and he is amazing. Everything I’ve had here has been delicious and perfectly prepared every time. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the area!!

I was here with friends, and I had the grilled tenderloin, which was okay. The side was coleslaw, which was terrible. My drink was Diet Mountain Dew, which was watered down; I could hardly taste the pop. they are only releasing a little syrup that’s why I couldn’t taste the real flavor, a lady setting next to me said the same thing, Never will go back.

This place is amazing. I love the chips and salsa. The chicken wings are incredible. The service is as friendly and inviting as it gets. And the atmosphere is either ignited and excited, or calm and cool. Overall an unforgettable experience. Would highly recommend.

Just had the BEST food! My bartender regan was the most enthusiastic, charismatic, and pleasant to be around. She is the best multitasker i have ever seen! She is just a treat!
