We were really excited to try this place because the ambiance and décor are honestly incredible. The space is beautiful, stylish, and very well designed—probably one of the nicest dining rooms we’ve seen in a while. Unfortunately, everything else about the experience completely ruined what could have been a great night.
When we first sat down, our server approached us almost immediately and showed great knowledge of the menu. He explained the dishes well and helped us with a few recommendations, which gave us a very good first impression. Unfortunately, after that initial interaction, he completely disappeared. It became extremely difficult to get any attention or assistance for the rest of the evening.
The service quickly fell apart. Tables around us remained dirty for long periods of time and were not cleared, which made the dining area look neglected. We ordered specialty cocktails, but they didn’t arrive until about 30 minutes later, and only after we asked about them again. When they finally came, they were very disappointing—extremely watered down and almost flavorless.
The wait for food was even worse. After placing our order, we waited around 45 minutes for our dishes to arrive. By that point, the experience was already frustrating. When the food finally came out, the presentation looked great—beautifully plated and visually appealing—but the flavors did not match the appearance at all.
The grilled octopus and the shrimp and grits were honestly very bad. Both dishes lacked flavor and were very disappointing considering how good they looked on the plate. The lamb burger ended up being the only good thing we tried during the entire meal.
Overall, our dining experience lasted about an hour and a half, and most of that time was spent waiting—for drinks, for food, and for service. What started with a promising first interaction quickly turned into a very frustrating experience.
It’s a real shame because the décor and ambiance are fantastic, but they are completely overshadowed by poor service, long wait times, watered-down drinks, and disappointing food. With such a beautiful space, you would expect the rest of the experience to match, but unfortunately it does not.
Not recommended.

Midtown Luxury: The Gold Standard of Sunday Brunch ✨

If you are looking for an experience that mirrors the highest standards, the Endless Sunday Brunch at 5Church Midtown is a masterclass in luxury. You definitely want to make reservations, I promise you! Even with them, you may wait in a brief line, but once you pass those doors and see the bountiful seafood and crustacean display, it is worth every second.

The layout is simply overwhelming and amazing. Every station is beautiful, clean, and delicious. This is a smaller, curated buffet that features everything you expect, including a carving station and a wonderful variety of choices. As someone who pays close attention to detail, I loved the ceviche—not only is it aesthetically stunning, but the food safety is above reproach and chilled to perfection. ️

This establishment is very safe and very chic. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff are “never a miss.” This was the perfect location for our family to gather after our vow renewals at church. Celebrating our love here during Valentine’s Day weekend with my dad and family members was a dream. Every one of our guests enjoyed every minute of the refined ambiance and top-tier service. ❤️

It is a total feast for the senses. I have the video from my GoPro to prove it—this place is absolutely amazing! ️

I visited ATL this weekend for a business conference. This restaurant was near our hotel so we decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is beautiful. The decor is very inviting and bright. The food was just ok. I had the braised beef ribs and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were super cold, and the braised beef was old and reheated. My friends both had Halibut which they enjoyed. Our server was nice but began to rush us which was a little annoying. The restaurant is nice so I would recommend, it’s one of those places you have to try for yourself but I probably wouldn’t return.

When the service is impeccable, it makes you want to come back even if the food is just but ok. But 5Church has EXCELLENT food and service and the ambiance is so artful. I loved it! Kam is such a sweetheart and excellent waitress and singer! Ahmed was very nice, funny and charming. He made sure to take care of our table during my Sis’ birthday. We will definitely be back here! ❤️

Ok. Wow! Had the pork chop with braised cabbage and garlic mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious. Our server, Jordan, was wonderful and the decor…they have the contents of the Art of War painted all over the ceiling. LOVE! I’m from New Orleans and I have to say, the food here rivals some of the best in NOLA! ❤️

After a long day exploring the Atlanta Botanical Garden, my cousin, her husband visiting from South Africa, and I decided to unwind at 5 Church Atlanta in Midtown for a quick dinner and cocktails.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a bubbly host who made us feel welcome. We were seated at one of the high tables by the bar, which set a lively atmosphere for our evening. Our server, Isabella, came over promptly to take our drink orders. I opted for my go-to drink, the “Lemon Drop” made with Don Julio Reposado tequila, while my cousin’s husband chose an “Old-Fashioned.” Since my cousin prefers non-alcoholic beverages, she chose a refreshing virgin Mojito.

For dinner, Isabella recommended the “Cacio e Pepe” for me, and it did not disappoint—delicious and perfectly seasoned. My cousin ordered the “Lemon Thyme Roasted Chicken,” and her husband had the “Four Seasons Salmon.” We also shared some sides: “French Fries with Truffle and Parmesan” and “Brussels Sprouts,” both of which complemented our meals beautifully.

We did encounter a small hiccup with my food, but the manager, Danielle, handled the situation with remarkable professionalism and sincerity. Her attention to customer service truly stood out; she was apologetic and proactive in resolving the issue, making sure I felt heard throughout the process. It’s this kind of exceptional service that is truly needed in the dining industry.

Overall, our experience at 5 Church Atlanta was delightful, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and the attentive staff. I want to extend my gratitude to both Isabella and Danielle for making our visit a memorable one. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food and outstanding service!
