If you’re at Clemson and haven’t stopped by 55 exchange Ice Cream in Hendrix Hall, you’re seriously missing out! This little spot is such a gem on campus. The ice cream is incredibly creamy, the flavors are always rotating, and everything tastes super fresh. They’ve got both classics and fun, seasonal options that make it hard to pick just one.
The staff was friendly and patient when i needed to sample more than one. . It’s the perfect mid-day treat between classes or a great way to unwind after a study session.
Big bonus? The portions are generous and the prices are student-friendly.
Highly recommend grabbing a scoop or two next time you’re near Hendrix. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent ice cream. This is my 3rd time here and I will continue to go each time I visit. Love that the university makes their own ice cream and they have so much variety from sundaes, iced coffee and ice cream and interesting flavors. This time I tried the Caramel Mocha Latte and I really liked it though the Golden Tiger is really the best. The only thing that could make this place better is the atmosphere. There is always a line and the space is small so there is nowhere to sit except for outside or in the student lounge which is a little walk. During the semester you probably wouldn’t sit there with your family, especially if you have kids.

Some of the best ice cream I’ve eaten! The peach is so amazing and the golden tiger was one of the best flavors I’ve ever had. Seriously check this place out! You won’t regret it!

They always offer at least one dairy free option and also sell Clemson Blue Cheese (when available). It is a student run dairy that makes the ice cream and then students also run the shop. Prices are reasonable too.

This is the only ice cream shop in Pickens County that makes every single one of the ice cream flavors that they sell.
Their ice cream is handcrafted in small batches by Clemson University students and you can certainly taste the top notch quality and love put into their creations. It has the creamiest consistency!!
There are even a couple of dairy-free options too…I spied Key Lime Pie.
What do I have? Mint Choc Chip. I also recommend trying the Golden Tiger.

Delicious and fun flavors of ice cream! It was hard to find on campus even with gps. There also wasn’t good signage on or inside building on which way to go.
