Update; been going to this bar off and on for about 3 decades and for the most part its always been great. I’ve seen people come and go. Some are gone and have been missed.
This bar has won one of the best dive bar’s of 2019 before the pandemic by The Houston Press. With that being said if you go to the bar please consider having some bar etiquette and respect the elders who come in during the day and pay for the lights to stay on. My wife and I go to 510 bar on occasion. Usually on karaoke night as my wife likes to sing. It’s a great little place that allows her to sing and us to play pool as well. The karaoke DJ provides a fun way to spend an evening and the staff is nice.

This neighborhood bar is a long-time favorite with area locals. Consistently good drinks and nice bartenders. They are open 7 days and nights a week. Saturday night is steak night (your choice of ribeye or t-bone) pork chops are also on the menu. Dinner also includes mashed potatoes and corn. Eh… I usually love these low key types of places but this one … Not so much. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for about 13 years and have been there a few times. A couple times I have gotten no service and walked out. They seem to cater to their regulars, which is fine but how are you going to get new business if you ignore them when they walk in?
