This was our first visit to this diner. It is a small diner with bar seating and a few tables. We had a very nice experience. The staff was friendly and the menu was simple. Lunch was good. I really like that meals include a canned drink. They do have a kids menu which makes it easy to find something for the littles.

Drove about 35 miles out of my way to have a burger here. Only to find the restaurant closed. Lady at the counter in the antique shop said they couldn’t get anybody to work. Well try paying a decent wage instead of the peanuts I’m sure you offer.

On our way down from the Smoky Mountain State Park, we happened across an antique mall along the highway. Of course we went in sort— you sort of have to. Antique mall along the highway in Tennessee, a must stop and see. Anyways, we didn’t get any antiques. They just weren’t our cup of tea but we were hungry. Inside this antique mall is a quaint little burger joint. Whereas the outside says Bob’s 1950’s Diner, it is in the process of being renamed “1950’s Diner.” It is under new ownership and the entrepreneur is 19. He was great to talk to and made the food himself. He laughed that we called pop, well pop. And we laughed that he called it soda. Great conversation, great food and a good little pit stop for a boo around a really big antique mall. Lots of nooks and crannies to hunt around.

I’ve always had a positive experience when visiting here. The food is priced well and always tastes great. Hamburgers are made with 1/2 pound ground, fries are seasoned, and hot dogs are Nathan’s grilled. There is usually some type of homemade desert available. Always clean and friendly service with 50’s era music playing through the speakers. I would recommend stopping in for the food when in the area. The entrance is through the antique shop.

It was an unexpected pleasure. This place shares a space with a antique store and we tried it because it was lunch time and we were hungry. The cheeseburgers are Fresh made and the chili cheese fries are delicious. It was one of those hole in the wall rare finds that had us returning the next day to have lunch again. The lady cooking and taking care of customers was so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend stopping in for a quick burger meal.

My hubby and I each had the burger combo. We both thought the burgers were deeeeeeelicious! The fries were cooked just right and the hot fudge brownie sundae was heaven. Pass up the larger 50’s style diners to go here. You can shop too if you want. Great experience!

. Had a bacon cheeseburger that was great and the fry’s were nice and crispy. Sweet Pea the cook was fun to talk to. Everything is cooked right up front. Its in a antique store and might put some people off but it was well worth it. I would come back again for sure.

Anytime my wife and I are out somewhere on vacation we like to try and visit some local places to eat that come highly recommended. I googled “Best Hamburgers” and one of the places that showed up was “The 50’s Diner” , so we decided to go give the burgers a try. Let’s just say that we both are burger snobs meaning we hate frozen patty burgers. This young man hand pats each burger. For $9.00 you can get a dressed burger with fries and a coke. Cheese or bacon adds a little bit extra but it’s not a lot more.

Austin is a very fine host…keeps his restaurant very clean and tidy..his burgers are homemade style..I watched him use Fresh Ground Beef to make my masterpiece..it was delicious. The crinkle cut fries were very crispy and NOT greasy, as well as the onion rings my wife and I shared. Highly recommend this little hole in the wall gem, plus you can check out the antique mall while you are waiting for your order…definitely will return
