It was great to be back at 506 Cafe and Diner, I can’t go as often since I don’t live in New Jersey anymore but every time I’m in the area I make sure I visit them. It’s an American diner with a Costa Rican touch where you can also get your Tico groceries, til the next visit!

This isn’t a fine dining experience, but I HIGHLY recommend it for a late morning breakfast (or lunch, if you skipped breakfast). I’ve have their typical Costa Rican breakfast for lunch (or very late breakfast) multiple times and have never left disappointed.

The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because the food was great but the lady who waited my table (which was the only lady their) started off nice but towards the end she was mumbling under her breath and it’s weird because everything was going fine. We were the only ones their so she wasn’t overwhelmed with work. The food was great and it did look nice tho.

This is a good size restaurant where you can enjoy without crowds. The food I love, I always end up choosing from the costarrican menu, because it is tasty and different, also the size of plates is enough to enjoy and skip the next meal. Pinto with everything ❤️, rice with chicken or shrimp, are amazing . The owners are always there, so you know you will get very good quality and service.

Dinning here at Cafe 506 was 1 of my best breakfasts ever.. The owners are on hand and so is the family which makes a tremendous difference on the food being served with pride, btw so is the service..If you ever have chance to eat here do it..the menu has authentic Costa Rica food on it as well and opened for breakfast., lunch and dinner.
