So great! Couldn’t have asked for a better dinner. Heather (operations manager) Dillon (waiter) were very hospitable. We started with cocktails, dirty martinis with blue cheese olives, the house bread was also yummy. Then for appetizers we got the egg salad, very innovative with the crispy egg and oysters. For entrees, we got the burger, lobster gnocchi and halibut — everyone loved their dishes, so flavorful! Last, we finished with the beignets, the dessert sauce trio was amazing, make sure you save extra room for dessert. We’ll be back!

This is a wonderful spot in the heart of Kennebunk! No lines, no waiting, no reservation required! I’m impressed with the set up at the bar, everything you need to infuse or muddle a delicious cocktail! The complimentary bread is very soft and fluffy! The ramen, beautiful presentation! I will be back!

The house-made gnocchi with lemon-garlic buerre blanc sauce topped with butter-poached lobster was one of the most delicious entrees I have ever eaten, and that’s saying a lot!

Here’s a short Google-style version of your 50 Local review:
⸻
50 Local is exactly what I hoped to find in Kennebunkport—excellent food with a warm, local feel. I had the bolognese (after smelling it at the bar and changing my order), plus a Caesar salad and a couple Maine beers. Everything was delicious, comforting, and clearly made with care. Sitting at the bar with locals made the experience even better. my only disappointment was that it was too dark to actually read the menu. It wasn’t much light in the room. Definitely a must-visit, and I’ll be back next time I’m in.

The best farm to table restaurant in Maine! The service is always attentive without feeling rushed. Cocktails and wine selection could not be more creative and delicious. The homemade pastas are a must try paired with the fresh bread. 10/10 would go back again!

50 Local is a lovely restaurant in downtown Kennebunk, Maine. I enjoyed a glass of and french fries while waiting for my takeout of crispy farm egg salad and the pappardelle. The hostess and bartender were very nice and keen on ensuring my needs were met. It seemed to be a hot spot for dinner!

We have ordered takeout multiple times and there’s always an issue. One time we ordered a salad and the only thing that arrived in our box was lettuce and Parmesan cheese. Recently, we ordered takeout and the meal was just awful. Both of our items were one stars. I called the store to share the concerns seeing as this has happened numerous times. The owner was incredibly rude on the phone. When I asked her why she was being so combative she told me because she’s busy. As a business owner, you should be able to handle your conduct better and be more professional. There is really no excuse for her behavior.
Needless to say we will not visit again. The restaurant is also pricey, and there are far better options for locals in the area with a much better quality meal.
* This is the response to the owners reply. Her note alone shows you the entitlement and unkind attitude and is a drastic misrepresentation of the conversation. The disrespect was on her end of the call only; as you can infer from her message.

Not sure why this place only has 4.4 stars — my husband and I went tonight with our toddler and it was absolutely delicious! The bread and butter are a must. We also tried the butternut squash pasta and the haddock dinner.. both were amazing! For dessert we got the butterscotch pudding and they perfected the salty/sweet combo. We live in Texas and are sad this isn’t local to us! The service was also great!

This is an amazing restaurant. Every bite was delicious. Cozy outdoor seating, dim warm lighting. Great staff that was friendly and attentive while also giving us space to enjoy the evening. We will definitely be going back. I am excited to try other dishes!

If you come through the side entrance, there’s a cute gift shop you have to check out. 50 Local also had a baby name 58 Main. Check my photos. Also, you can park right there on main street for two hours no worries.
The staff was pleasant and seemed like they were happy to be there. Apparently the owners must be treating the employees right. This restaurant needs to be on your go-to list. This place was poppin . Blake was our server and he took care of us. I can tell you that servers are exceptional when they hear their name vs “excuse me, excuse me.” They know exactly where to turn when they hear their name.
The food and ambiance was excellent. Reservations are required. Go at 5p and have the place to yourself. Get the salad with the poachds egg on top. Perfect for the light eater or hot summer night. The crab cakes are served on a thick wooden paddle with spicy mayo and pickled onions. The cake itself is served as a meatball shape not as a cake/paddy. I had the mussel frites (that means fries served on top of the mussels) – ask for them on the side. ♀️
If you’re a bourbon drinker, and am old fashioned doesn’t tempt you, and you feeling like you had a donkey kind of day? Ask for a mule, they’ll make you one. Right on.
The serve fresh hot bread out of the oven (at least at 5p they do) and filtered water for the table.
