This was the perfect place to pop in for lunch. I am a hot pot lover, but sometimes going alone to hot pot can be a bit too much food so this is the perfect place to get your fresh bowl of soup perfect size for you. It was fast warm and delicious. The spicy broth really hit the spot for me. The vegetables and meats were fresh and the service was five stars. Also, the condiment section had an amazing chili oil with other fresh additives. I will definitely be coming here often and really recommend it.

If you’re craving a cozy, flavorful meal that hits all the right notes, 5 POT in Pasadena is an absolute must-try. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming — perfect for a casual lunch with friends, a comforting dinner, or a first-time foodie adventure.

What makes this spot stand out is the customizable hot pot experience. You pick your broth, load up your bowl with fresh ingredients, and watch it come to life with rich, savory flavors. Diners rave that the broth hits that perfect balance — not too salty or greasy like some places tend to be — and every bite feels just right.

The service is friendly and fast, with a team that makes you feel right at home from the first hello. Portion sizes are generous, the fresh ingredients shine, and the variety keeps you coming back to try something new each visit. Families, groups of friends, and solo diners all seem to find something to love here — whether it’s your go-to gochujang-spiked bowl or a smooth, bone broth base that warms you from the inside out.

Price point? Super reasonable for the quality and portion size — a perfect spot for repeat visits without breaking the bank.

Bottom line: If hot pot is your love language, or you want to discover why everyone’s talking about it, 5 POT delivers delicious bowls and good vibes every time. Highly recommended for a relaxed, flavorful Pasadena meal.

Their spicy broth is flavorful, and the taste varies depending on your choice of toppings; therefore, each meal is unique to your own taste. Additionally, the price is based on the weight of your bowl before adding the broth.

Nice small hot pot buffet styles selections of self customize items and about 4 to 5 choices of base for the soup. I recommend original (mild spicy although not spicy at all) and the ice tea self served is pretty decent, the mushrooms, fish balls, and veggies are yummy, if you like it cooked til its quite soft. I prefer a little crunch to my vegetables not that mushy for me. Very friendly service and overall a nice spot to try. The portion size are very fulfilling and massive at about $15.99 I believe, a bit pricey than other hot pot spots. It’s Pasadena so mostly paid parking unless you park across the street in free lot near Target or some street parking that are 1 or 2 hours max.

This was my third time at this restaurant. You select vegetables , different types of tofu, meat, noodles and misc. (quail eggs, seaweed etc.) from a large buffet, pick a type of bone broth (the real deal, not the salt water. Offered at many similar places) and choose your condiments. Food is fresh and delicious.

I love trying out new places and now there’s finally a hot pot place in Pasadena! With the limited amount of asian cuisines in Pasadena, this would make a great addition. Came on a Wednesday night and was seated promptly. I made sure I got a large variety of food types so I could try everything and paired it with the bone soup so I can taste all the flavors. And man, the food was outstanding! Everything paired well and I was super full by the end of it.

Being brand new, everything was clean and bright and I was able to enjoy my meal. If you haven’t tried hot pot yet, this would be the spot to try as it offers a clean and tasty meal customized to your liking.

Excellent meal. High quality ingredients. Large variety of ingredients. None of the broths are vegetarian so I got the mixed bowl. You just pick up the ingredients you want like everyone else and they cook it in the kitchen for you without the bone broth. They have several tofu selections in addition to many vegetables and a couple of noodles. A sweet drink comes with the meal. You can get any sized portion you want, they just weigh it and you pay by the pound. I got one pound and it was just right for me.

Very interesting hot pot restaurant! You load your bowl up with raw ingredients (veggies, mushrooms, tofu, seafood, noodles, beef & lamb, etc) and then they weigh the bowl and charge you by the pound ($15.99/lbs I think). Then they take the bowl back to the kitchen, add broth, and cook all the ingredients. There’s unlimited passion fruit tea and dipping sauces available. The standard broth is very light & mild. Food was tasty and staff was very friendly & helpful! Gender neutral bathroom at the back
