Quaint, little restaurant with good enough drinks. Not the best place, looks-wise but the food was amazing. Tried seafood, pasta and steak and every bit was amazing. Would definitely go again if given the opportunity.

Every time we have been here which is now a bit less than a dozen times we’ve had great experiences!! The food is tasty, good menu selection and attentive staff, especially today!! Kaylee was awesome!! She helped us brainstorm some ideas my husband and I were pondering and had terrific ideas!! There isn’t a wide range of dining establishments here in Vermont but 5 Olde is diverse enough and has great hours!!!

I hate to leave a negative review but here goes…
Went to the bar to meet a friend. After the 3rd attempt by the bartender to give me a clean glass I just gave up and drank from the can. Tables were dirty. The whole place needs a good once over… which saddens me to say cause I used to go here often.
Got the eggplant french fries. They tasted like they were cooked in grease that hasn’t been changed in a month.
Got the pot stickers… pulled a hair off of them.
Only reason I am giving it 2 stars is the staff are very kind and attentive.

Had a great dinner here tonight our sever (Diane) was quick and attentive. The carnitas were incredible, the pork literally fell apart as soon as you picked it up, yet it wasn’t too greasy. For 12 dollars it was a unbeatable meal, I made 4 big tacos with it and still brought half of it home. My wife and I haven’t been here in years, I think it’s even better now.

Had a great dinner at 5 Old Tavern tonight. Shana took great care of us. The mussels were super good and the sesame salmon salad was excellent. Salmon portion was much bigger than at other local restaurants, got a love that! Dirty martini’s also hit the spot. Thanks to all. We will definitely be back.

Walked in, no one came to seat us, we walked around the bar no one there either. Looked good, But I’ll never know. We left. We went back a few weeks later and it was a much better experiance. We fiund out the owner was ill at our last visit and needed to hire some help. They have a wonderful wine and beer selection and the bartender, Jordan, is awesome. The chef is great as well.

5 Olde Tavern was OK. No real “atmosphere”, just plain. The town square is very pretty. Menu is varied and our choices good. Carnitas and a burger were tasty, nicely presented and ample. Pub on the other side, but we didn’t go.

Nice restaurant. Friendly service and decent food. Also, decent kids menu. However, I was a little dissapointed that the only veggie side they had was beets. The beets were decent, but I would have ordered broccoli instead if they had it. I have eaten there previously and they had more choices. Overall, good place.

Service was terrible, we walked in and stood waiting for someone to come greet us, as the cook sat in the corner eating, he told us to sit down and he would put a bug in the waitresses ear that we were there. We still waited a few minutes before being acknowledged. She did not seem in any way pleased to be there working. No personality or even a smile. They were not busy,yet it took a good 5 minutes to get a glass of water. Then when the food finally came out, half an hour later, let’s just say it wasn’t beyond ok. Would not recommend this place.

We stopped for lunch, and it was awesome. It was sooo much better than we thought it was gonna be based on the look and feel. I ordered the nachos and wings. They were the best that I’ve had in a long time. And the beer selection was nice too.
