Placed a take-out order: 3 orders of 3 tacos each. The order was placed and we arrived 3 minutes before the alloted 15minute wait. We waited in-house an additional 20minutes for the order. Mind you, it was on Saturday night, and the parking lot was full, so I can understand the busyness that comes with dinner time. I can hold space for that. What I don’t understand however, is how a $42 order is served like slop. This is someone’s meal. And it wasn’t free. Attention to detail will take you places and will bring back your customers. The corn tortillas tasted like they were never actually heated; they were hard and stale, and they were flipped upside down. The picture attached has 3 tacos in there. We’ve eaten here in person and have not had any issues, but this presentation was distasteful.

Food is absolutely delicious! Great margaritas and burrito loco too They also have good “Happy Hour” days. Place is clean and a pleasant atmosphere, they have a nice patio that is enclosed and heated when out of season, and staff is very nice. One of my favorite places! Check it out, it’ll be your new favorite too

The service is great when you are being served by Mrs Griselda. We used to love this place but the last couple of times food it’s been not good in all. I ordered the Birria tacos and the meat was salty. Last time I ordered a ceviche salad and they gave me more veggies than actually shrimp and my tostadas were stale. I asked for fresh tostadas and the server ( no Griselda this time) told me “ the tostadas were fresh from a new package “ I told her “ I don’t think so! They are very old and stale. I asked her for a new couple of tostadas … she took forever to return to tell me “ My tostadas were the last ones” I’m like .. what? Ceviche with no tostadas?. She only said “ Sorry”. I was very disappointed that she actually lied to me by saying “ it’s fresh from a new package “ until I asked her to try the tostadas herself.
So she never offered me a replacement for my plate or even a discount. She still charge us the ceviche with a full price.
So after this I came to realized that after two times of failed attempts to give them a chance. Their food doesn’t taste very good. It’s salty and lacks flavor. The kitchen people need a good talk about how they spicy up things.

Gerardo is seriously the best! Best waitstaff is a close tie between him and Griselda. I come here on a weekly basis for the past few years now and those two really are the best in the pack. Solid food, phenomenal waitstaff. What more can I ask…thanks again 5 de Mayo!

TLDR: lovely restaurant with great service. I didn’t love what I ordered but my boyfriend liked his. We were sat in a terrible location so I’m leaving 4 stars for atmosphere as I can see it’s a nice restaurant- we just didn’t get to experience it.
We were sat right next to the kitchen even though there were plenty of available tables, so it was loud with staff bustling, crashing dishes, etc- basic kitchen noise. Since we’ve both worked in service before, we recognize that this isn’t unusual and the staff here wasn’t especially loud, but we had to speak loudly to hear each other over the noise, as our table was adjacent to the kitchen which had no door. You can see this in my video I included. My question to the host: If there are available seats anywhere else, why seat customers at the back of the restaurant adjacent to the kitchen door? Other than the obvious answer of “sections”, of course, and if that’s the case, better planning needs to be instated.
We started with an order of CEVICHE (Steamed shrimp / lime juice / pico de gallo / tostadas) which was good, but I tend to prefer raw shrimp when it’s cured in lime juice. Still good though and I’d order it again if we return.
He ordered the THREE TAMALES (Rajas & cheese • Pork • Shredded chicken) and he really enjoyed them. He said they were cooked perfectly and were tasty.
I ordered the SEAFOOD CHIMICHANGAS (Mix of Grilled shrimp | scallops & REAL CRAB MEAT. Covered with creamy cheese sauce. Served with rice lettuce / sour cream /tomatoes / guacamole) and I wished I hadn’t. It LOOKED amazing but when the menu described the REAL crab meat, I didn’t realize it would be the saltiest, fishiest, briniest knuckle meat available . I ended up eating one of the chimichangas, because I was actually hungry, but I left the second one in its entirety. Normally I take food to go, but this time I (shamefully ) had them throw it out. If I return, I plan to order something else, cuz this wasn’t it.
We both got Horchatas, which were nice.
So, all in all, the food was mostly good, the place itself was beautiful, but my dish was less than desirable, as was our seating location. I’ll update this review if we decide to try it again!

The best Mexican food I’ve ever had. I had the make your own burrito and put pork in it. The most juicy and tender pork I have ever had. My boyfriend had the fiesta fajita and he loved it. To add to it the chips and the salsa were also AMAZING. To finish it off we had the sopaillas and I am not sure what they are made of but they were delicious. Our waitress was the sweetest lady and got us our food right when it came out and gave us enough time to figure out what we wanted and to enjoy it! Recommend
