Took the family to 5 coins for dinner. I ordered a meat lovers skillet with eggs over easy. Much to my surprise I was served a hair on top of the right egg (see picture). I brought this to the waitress’s attention and asked for my skillet to be removed from the bill. Told her no need to remake me anything. My family was already 1/2 way done with their meals and I definitely didn’t trust the food at that point. She took the plate away from my table and the hair was never mentioned again. The skillet was removed from my bill. Never got an apology from the waitress for the hair. No explanation or apology from the cook. Just moved on with their day like it never happened. Had someone acknowledged the fact I was just served a hair on top of my food I might have given 5 coins a second chance. If you want to act like it never happened you don’t deserve to be serving people food at all. Had you acknowledged the hair I wouldn’t have left this review. Actions have consequences!!

Had an delicious breakfast. The swedish pancakes and the cinnamon roll French toast special were amazing. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. This looks like a typical family diner, but it has something special going on. Sorry about the pics, we were half finished when I thought about it. So delish!

Came here with my grandmother aunt and mother . Was terrible. I didn’t realize this place . Was newly owned till I saw the new owner . The severs were rude they were just acting nice because it’s their job to do that. But this place was awful. I used to loved the old owner of this place she was nice and actually had amazing food. I loved her menu . And the Swedish pancakes were amazing here used to be . But now the new owner changed the entire menu .and it’s very small not much on it . I feel there’s some type of racism at this place . But honestly I got one of there omelettes I had gotten pepper jack cheese . And I didn’t even get pepper jack cheese . I got bagged very little shredded cheese . It wasn’t cheesy at all no pepper jack cheese . And there was honestly nothing to the omelette they are very stingy on how much they give you here . Honestly plus Mr omelette wasn’t even hot either . It was cold . I also had gotten Swedish pancakes here 2 of them and that was real cold too there’s no love put into there food since it’s owned by new owners. All they care about is getting money . They don’t care about there customers. And also the Swedish pancakes were only half of pancakes they weren’t full size pancakes. And they had ketchup too that tasted off had a weird taste to it. And they should give you warm syrup here . But it’s clearly cheap syrup they use . This place is way to over priced and there not nice here at all they act like they are but they aren’t . They charged me $4.00 more for only 2 only half of a Swedish pancake. I wish this place was better it was real real bad the food was awful and the prices here are outrageous. I paid $30 for barley anything on my plates . And I felt nauseous after eating the food here I recommend nobody to go here it’s not worth it. This place used to be the best place in Rockford . But ever since this place was sold to someone else they changed everything and I don’t get why they have 5 coins as there name because this isn’t like it used to be .

Its not the same anymore. The menu has been reduced, there is not much variety. I used to get their skillet all the time and when i came to visit again my favorite skillet was gone. This was my families favorite place to eat breakfast at but that has changed. The atmosphere has changed as well. The food was decent for what i opted out for but as a person who came here often it just doesn’t feel right anymore.

I was here a few times before. The menu has completely changed, not horrible but the staff doesn’t know what’s on it. Took the girl 20 minutes to take a simple skillet order.
Got my food to go, when I did finally get my food, the gave me eggs well done when I asked for over easy, completely forgot my toast and instead of mushrooms and extra cheese I got no mushrooms and no cheese. But I certainly did pay for my added mushrooms and cheese.
I know it has switched owners but this place is turning to crap.

Ive been eating here and few months now.Everyone always friendly. Crystal is my favorite server. Food quality improved after new owners took over. Cinnamon swirl french toast is amazing!! The place is always clean and well kept. Never have I ever came across any rodents or dust

Great staff working here and the food was just as great. I had the farmers Burger and my wife had the Farmers breakfast, daughter had a Reuben and we were all very happy. Also if you are worried about a virus that has a 99.7% recovery rate their staff was taking all the precautions you could ever want to keep their customers safe. We will be back again and again.
