Super cute hidden gem out in the farmlands. Staff were super nice but busy so things ran a bit slow. Love that the burger is locally sourced (you can taste the freshness). The main win here is the adorable atmosphere of having lunch in a historical house with tons of sunlight in an open dining room. Would definitely come back.
The shops weren’t really my taste. More for older women looking for farmhouse decor and styles.

The setup: lunch on a Thursday. Chicken salad sandwich with onion rings. Slice of coconut cake to go.
The good:
Nice place, clean and sharp. Lots of seating. Food was out quick. Onion rings were outstanding.
The bad: Chicken Salad was almost tasteless. A little watery, the only flavor was an occasional bit of fruit in the mix. This stuff was highly reviewed, not what I expected. Talked to my server, was told it might be lightly seasoned for sensitive palettes.. honestly I didn’t think it was right. Tomato on this sandwich was refrigerated.. shouldn’t do that as it makes it grainy.
The Ugly: I spent my evening with a gnarly stomach ache. Of course I can’t say 100% it was the chicken salad, but I’ve got a pretty solid idea. I don’t get stomach bugs, and it was gone by morning.
Also the cake was WAY overhyped. $8 for a huge slice… well the slice was a decent size but it wasn’t $8 huge.. and the cake itself was made well, but not at all remarkable. If I’d have made it, I would’ve been happy with it.. but I expected extraordinary after the reviews.
Famous Fruit Tea.. famous for what now? Watered down and weak. Not even worth a to-go.
Overall I had an underwhelming experience, but I think they can do better. Everyone has off days.. but I’m really concerned about the chicken salad. The staff was very nice and attentive, though I’m not sure how seriously she took my comments about having someone check on the chicken salad.

We stopped here for lunch on a cold December Saturday. We enjoyed the delicious soup and the Hershey’s cake was delish. Our server Onna took great care of us! The boutique stores were a bonus.

5 Chefs has the most divine cakes. We ventured from Nashville to Portland one day and came across this restaurant and I am glad we stopped in. The restaurant is housed in an old farm house with an addition. It is a charming place with great food and cute shops. The food is wonderful and service is excellent. If you don’t have time for anything else, make sure to grab a slice of cake on your way out. A truly fascinating place.

This is an old home that’s been turned into a combined restaurant and gift shop. The gift shop is stocked by individuals that display their own clothing and Decor in individual rooms. The restaurant staff is helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious. I have eaten there several times.

Love to eat and shop there. After driving 40 minutes, found they were closed. I had checked their Facebook page the day before and said regular hours 2days before Christmas. Very disappointed.

Food was 5 star, better than Patty’s 1880’s Settlement. The atmosphere I gave only 3 stars due to the rushed feeling, as they only serve for 3 hours, and our table was in the middle of foot traffic with people headed to the restroom and exit, and servers and guests walking all around our table to return to theirs, very uncomfortable.
