One of the finest restaurants in Bowling Green. Our waiter, Chandler, continued the consistently fine service. Orders were cooked perfectly. The Champagne Chicken is a signature dish. Loved the flourless white chocolate cake to finish it off. The bar is known for their strong pours.

Special shout out to the Owner who continues to keep the Bayou atmosphere alive in such a quaint yet lovely restaurant/bar. Both Carter & Lee made sure our accommodations were perfect for our large group to celebrate the festivities of Fat Tuesday. From the Shrimp & Grits, to oysters, and Hurricanes it was a close to the real thing as any true Louisiana girl could ask for this far from home. The Boudain Balls were superb and if anything should be on the full time appetizer menu. Thanks again for bringing a little bit of NOLA to Ky………..Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!!!

We really liked this place!! The food was great! Our waitress was very nice, attentive, answered all our questions professionally yet with a sweet personality as well.
We sat in a booth on the bar side which we really enjoyed the atmosphere there. There are outside seating options along the sidewalk. The Bowling Green square still has beautiful old architecture with a center garden with statues and water fountain.
We live near Nashville Tennessee and we all agreed that it would be worth coming back again.

We were in Bowling Green from out of town and decided on 440 Main for our dinner destination. It was a real treat and is a local gem. We thoroughly enjoyed the drinks, food, and atmosphere. The desserts are very reasonably priced and phenomenal. We had cheesecake and bananas foster. Will certainly come back again if we are in the area.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner. We started with Cajun Spring Rolls and then had Filet Mignon (add Oscar) and Champagne Chicken. Our waiter had asked if we were there for any special occasion and we said our 29th anniversary. He surprised us with a very special dessert, cheesecake drizzled with raspberry sauce. Everything was amazing!!!

We had a great experience celebrating an anniversary. We started with a few apps, tried the gumbo, a few entrées and dessert of course. The cajun spring rolls were very tasty and full of chicken; the accompanying mango bbq was phenomenal. The BBQ shrimp were a nice take on the New Orleans classic dish; I wish they had a little more heat and perhaps could’ve been a bit larger. The gumbo did bring the heat, with tasty pieces of chicken, andouille, and vegetables. For our mains, we had the new porkchop dish and the nightly trout special. The trout was done nicely with some crab, brown butter and a few golden raisins over mashed potatoes. My only qualm was the potatoes were a bit gummy. The pork chop was done very nicely with a sweet tea brine and the peach jalapeño chutney paired beautifully with the pork. The smoked creamed corn would be a great addition but I feel wasn’t executed as well as it could have been and while IQF corn has its place, directly on the plate isn’t it. To finish our night, we ordered the bread pudding, now it was served warm and very tasty and the sauces were very nice. The atmosphere was nice on the 440 side and I could see the other side would have its charm too. Our server did a solid job, he visited frequently and kept the tea full. My only critique on service was seeing the floor manager was there but he never bothered to stop and actually talk with anyone. A great night, with a very nice meal. We’d definitely come back.

In town for a meeting having never been here before. Popped into the smallest wine shop in Kentucky and the proprietor recommended this restaurant. Easily one of the best meals I have had this year. Excellent blackened chicken based on what I assume is a proprietary blackening blend was wonderful. Definitely check out the Cajun spring rolls

My husband and I went last night for an evening out. We had the best waitress (forgive me but I didn’t catch her name but it was her 4th day on the job). She was so informative about the menu and was very friendly and quick to take care of us. The food was excellent and the service was too. Will be coming back in the near future!

Best to make a reservation. Initially my husband and I arrived at 4pm per Google’s time of opening, only to be informed that the neighboring bar opens at 4pm & 440 opens at 5pm CST. When asked if we needed to make a reservation the guy said not necessary. Fast forward to 5:05pm when the lady (manager?) informed us we need a reservation or she “could seat us at the window but it is colder there”. We decided to make a reservation and return two hours later.
Arriving at 6:45pm we were seated immediately and our server, Conrad, made up for the poor initial first impression. The food was unlike anything we have experienced locally and was easily comparable to our best New Orleans experiences this summer.
The restrooms were decently clean and had somewhat privacy in stalls.
Overall, a great anniversary meal.
