I had the Borderland IPA, which was great, and we split the pepperoni and hot honey flatbread along with the truffle fries. Both were flavorful and nicely portioned — great brewery food that went perfectly with the beer. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, and everything felt clean and well cared for. Prices were reasonable, especially for a downtown spot, and we didn’t have to stress about parking since we used the M&T lot nearby.
What really stood out was how convenient the location is — it’s literally a 30-second walk to Shea’s, which made it a perfect pre-show stop. Solid beer, tasty food, good service, and unbeatable location. Definitely a spot we’ll return to next time we’re in the Theater District. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill, quality craft beer experience before a show.
UPDATE: Stopped in before a Sabres game and was looking to get the meatball sub again but it was no longer on the menu. So pivoted and tried the pulled chicken sandwich and the pretzel. Both were great. I’m a little picky so I got everything on the side which they accommodated (as you can see in the pic). Service staff was great!
Other drink options available as well. We shared a couple beers and a glass of wine prior to an event downtown. We wish them well at this new location!
UPDATE: We stopped in for dinner for a Sabres game and wasn’t disappointed. Same great service and drinks. We tried the brisket meatball bomber. Tasty!
But, it was SO loud inside, we really didn’t enjoy our meal. Felt like we were in a nightclub at 1 am. I guess it’s the design of the room. We were there for dinner around 6:30pm. Such a shame, we’ve been to the original location south of Buffalo.
For this reason we will probably not return.
