My wife and I had Valentine’s Day dinner at 4 Saints in Palm Springs. The restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the Kimpton Rowan, and I will say right away, the atmosphere is outstanding. The lighting, service, seating, and bar are all top tier and create a great upscale dining experience.

Unfortunately, the food did not match the setting, which is why l am leaving one star.

We had the Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu – four courses at $149 per person plus 20% gratuity.

Caviar Cone – A tiny 2-inch cone. Pleasant taste, but essentially a single bite. It felt more like a sample than a course, leaving us wondering, “That’s it?”

Hamachi Crudo – Only two very thin slices. Again, extremely small portion and underwhelming for a prix fixe menu at this price point.

Chilean Sea Bass (my wife) – This was actually excellent. Well prepared, flavorful, and the highlight of the night. Highly recommend.

Roasted Duck (mine) – Very disappointing. Flavorless, rubbery, and chewy. Easily the worst duck I’ve ever had.

Chocolate Cake (my wife) – Surprisingly good. Rich, balanced, and enjoyable, a nice recovery late in the meal.

Strawberry “Pavlova” (mine) – Small portion and unpleasant taste. The two sugar cookies tasted like soap, which made the dessert hard to finish.

Overall, the atmosphere and service were excellent, but the food, especially for the price, was very disappointing. Aside from the sea bass and chocolate cake, the meal felt like overpriced sample portions with inconsistent execution.
Unfortunately, I would not return for dinner. Was this a $398 dinner for two, no way! This was maybe $100 meal, anything more of outrageous!

Leaving a review because it shouldn’t be 4.1 stars. It’s at least a 4.5.

Beautiful restaurant. Pleasant but not overbearing staff. Delicious meal. Cocktails were spot on. The diver scallops with vanilla parsnips puree were a delight! I wish I could have had another caviar cone. Dessert was just okay when compared with the rest of the meal, but it was a great late night snack with a cup of tea. Definitely returning.

A beautiful space where you pay premium for the great views of the city, the San Jacinto mountain and tourist-trap type of food.
The service: The hostess and wait staff were friendly and welcoming except for our waiter who could care less we were there and with a personality as cold as a block of ice.
The food: a pricey mixed bag: The starters were a delicious Short Rib ravioli in a cabernet reduction. The Heirloom beets salad poorly plated with large pieces of lettuce leaves and a rather sharp dressing.
Mains: 8 oz. Prime Filet was what would you expect for a 80.00 small cut of meat.
The Branzino a different story: a thin slice of fish with four shrimps sitting on top like trying to scape from the confusing almost un-eatable mass made out chorizo, cabbage, Beluga, lentils and heavy Saffron forward sauce.
The wine: our waiter recommended his favorite Cal red, the most expensive of course! But arrived to the table with pieces of cork; when this guy finally re-appeared and told about, just took the glass of the table, took a look and walked away without saying a word of apology, just silence.
Desert: we didn’t want to take the chance of more bad service and disappointment.
As full time residents of PS would definitely not go back to this place.

Found out about this restaurant through Michelin Guide.

We were a group of 6 with reservations on a Sunday night around 8 pm. We had a pretty late heavy lunch so we weren’t too hungry. Everyone ordered a cocktail, I had their old fashioned which was wonderful! We ended up ordering a bunch of small plates to share with each other. We ordered 6 items, out of the 6, I would say the mushrooms or the burrata was the favorite! If we weren’t so full, I’m sure we would have opted to do the tasting menu so I’m bummed I didn’t get to do that.

We had the squash blossom and chocolate tort (vegan) for dessert. Squash blossom was probably one of the best desserts I’ve had in my life!!

We had wonderful service and the ambience was beautiful. If I’m ever back in PS, I’ll be coming back to dine here!

We chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday on Thanksgiving night, expecting a memorable experience from an award-winning establishment. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable.

From the moment we ordered, the server showed a clear lack of respect toward me as a woman. When I placed my order, he repeatedly ignored me and instead confirmed my choices with my boyfriend before submitting them, which felt dismissive and inappropriate.

Service timing was also poorly managed. An appetizer was abruptly placed on our table while we were still eating the previous course, making us feel rushed and disrupting the flow of the meal. This should not happen at a restaurant of this caliber.

What made the experience worse was the complete lack of accountability. The server never apologized, and despite the poor service, a service fee was still charged. There was also no acknowledgment of my birthday at all, even though this was clearly a celebration.

Overall, the experience was unpleasant and far below the standards expected of a restaurant with such a reputation. I left feeling disrespected and disappointed.

Roof top fine dining with awesome savory. and beverage menu. Service was professional and courteous. Desserts were not quite as impressive. With a little polishing, I’m hoping this place can earn a Michelin star.

An excellent choice for an upscale dining experience in Palm Springs. The rooftop view is breathtaking, and the contemporary vibe and design are absolutely delightful. As a vegetarian, I’m always impressed with the chef’s effort to include a variety of options on the menu, both for starters and main courses. A must-visit for anyone looking for quality dining.
The bar is also a fancier alternative to most bars in Main Street.

*an overpriced and average experience*

Greeted by the front desk who genuinely found it difficult to look up and smile. The waiter then came to greet us and it felt like I was on the receiving end of a sales pitch, just rattling off the usual suspects, reading off a prompt. The serving staff, filling up water and clearing plates was also depressed looking. Couldn’t crack a smile and couldn’t make eye contact. Just all felt weird and unwelcoming.

The food was very disappointing, swimming in sauce and slapped together with little to no care. “Michelin mentioned restaurant” but this experience absolutely missed the mark and I’m not shocked to see why it’s a 4.1 on google. It should probably be lower. The good thing was the view and the refreshing water and that’s about it. Don’t forget the compulsory 1% culinary tax so the kitchen staff can’t enjoy some tips too!!

Many many better restaurants in Palm Springs to spend money at that are cheaper and better… in my opinion.
