Found the 4K during a work trip and brought 2 coworkers for their first tiki experience. The 4K is an oasis in an area that looks to be reinventing itself with gentrification but plenty of solid food options for when the hunger kicks in.

Excellent decor with some cool images and drink vessels I’ve never seen before. Perfectly lit with a proper musical score and so bad they’re good movies on the screen.

Jared (sp?), Chris, and Grizzly Bear were great hosts. Friendly, informative and a passion for JRR Tolkien (well, Grizzly Bear didn’t say much but we have to assume )

On to the drinks. Started with a Mai Tai which was on point then I moved on to one of their signature cocktails, dealers choice and Chris poured The Monkey Nuts. This drink includes coconut and I don’t normally gravitate towards coconut cocktails but this one was not in your face like a painkiller and the banana liqueur balanced it well. I’d order again

Next up a Zombie. A classic and I think they nailed it. After a food break I came back for one more of their signature drinks, this time the Blackbeards Ghost. I chose this one for the sum of its parts being many of my favorites in a cocktail (dark rums, demerara rums, Falernum, passion fruit, an no pineapple). This was my favorite for sure. Not just because of the ingredients but also the presentation of the pirate ship on top (I don’t give this away, you just need to see it)

All in all, I hope I’m able to come back to the DFW and pay another visit to the 4 Kahunas

Oh, and be sure to ask about the name. Great story

Amazing little tiki bar tucked away on Front St. You can literally the subtle smell the sea when you walk through the door. We were greeted immediately and taken to a booth. Friendly staff and bartenders all pulling double duty it looked like. Decor is spot on and they even had tasteful Halloween decorations to add to the fun. Drink menu covered all the regular tiki drinks with a few of their own creations. Drinks were well done and came in a variety of decorative glasses. It was so good we went back the following night for another round. Would definitely recommend and visit again when in the area.

We love this place! We had our first date here in 2021 and got engaged here in 2024. The owner was working the bar when we got engaged and was so kind and excited for us. The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun. It’s very dark but that adds to the moody and relaxed vibe. The drinks are tasty and interesting. Plus- you can purchase the drinkware! We ended up purchasing two of them when we got engaged to commemorate the moment.

We’ve been going here for years. It’s my favorite little mid-week getaway…like a tiny vacation destination in the heart of Arlington. The drinks are consistent, well-balanced and oh so yummy. During the holidays, the staff’s hand-crafted holiday drinks are wonderful. Grizz the doggo is an excellent greeter and everyone on the staff is super friendly yet professional. The team takes great care to deliver upscale cocktails with a special Tiki flare, so if it takes an extra minute or two to create your order, have some patience. It’s more than a place to grab a drink….it’s an experience.

Came here with some friends and had the best time! I love a fun cocktail and these drinks looked so cool we just had to try each other’s orders. I got the one that comes with fire which prompts a cool interaction (no spoilers) with the bartender. Wish I remembered his name, he’s got long hair and a really outgoing, positive, infectious vibe where you can’t help but smile! Thank you so much, it was a great way to round off our night!! Wish I’d taken more photos of the drinks.

First time and I got their recommended cocktail and it was great. They do have virgin drink and it was also good. The bartenders and their dog were all really friendly. Definitely coming back.

This is the best tiki bar in the DFW metroplex! The staff are all long-tenured, and the drinks come out consistent and delicious. It does get a bit crowded on the weekends, so be prepared to have the bartenders tell you the best place to sit for your group. The decor and drinks are mostly classic tiki. If you’ve never been to a tiki bar, the drinks are rum-focused and there is no beer available. If you don’t know what to order, Kris makes the best painkillers, classic daiquiris, and hurricanes just about anywhere in the world. Hope to see you there soon!

Kris and Maggie have delivered an excellent experience two times in a row, I didn’t leave a review the first time because I was under the influence, but both visits to this location have given excellent service, amazing prices, and excellent timing. They’ve never interrupted me mid-drink, or attempted to upsell me on the drink that I chose. Genuinely, I’ve had a 10/10 experience with these two working the bar. I hope they get a raise and split tips evenly, these two make this bar amazing!!!

We happen to land at this great little tiki bar on its seventh year anniversary, making it the longest running tiki bar in that part of Texas! The drinks were phenomenal and I got to see a fire show that would’ve never been possible in California lol leave it to Texas to do everything bigger and better! Wish we lived closer!!!
