Ordered pickup through Door Dash. Was the first time we tried this place. I got the $18 rockfish basket. 1 peice of severely overcooked/burnt fish. Greasy undercooked fries. I also ordered a side of hushpuppies which were also undercooked and full of onions. They didnt taste anything like hush puppies. They tasted like onion balls. I gave one to my husband who said OH – it tastes like an onion ring.. great if you wanted onion rings, but I wanted hush puppies. My husband got the fried shrimp tacos. Took his first bite and looked at me and said what does undercooked shrimp look like? That should never be the first question after taking a bite of a fried shrimp taco. His fries were also greasy and under cooked. We did also get buffalo wings for our son who said they were okay, but nothing special. He wouldn’t eat his fries. Our first and probably last experience.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at 3rd Generations Grill, and it was an evening to remember. From the moment we walked in, the laid-back atmosphere set the tone for a relaxed, enjoyable meal. The walls were adorned with vintage music posters that sparked some fun nostalgia, and the live music from a talented local band added the perfect soundtrack to our dinner.
We started with the Homestyle Hush Puppies, which were warm, crisp, and paired beautifully with a sweet spread that added just the right contrast. However, the standout from the appetizer list was without a doubt the Deviled Eggs. Filled with an Adobe Chipotle mixture and topped with Maple Candied Bacon, they were easily the best we’ve ever had—bold, smoky, sweet, and creamy all in one perfect bite.
For our main course, we went with the Fish Basket, which featured lightly breaded rockfish served with fries and coleslaw. The fish was tender and flavorful, with a crisp coating that didn’t overpower. The fries were golden and satisfying, and the coleslaw was fresh and tangy.
3rd Generations Grill impressed us with both their food and atmosphere. It’s a place we’ll definitely return to—and bring friends next time.

We were on vacation in the area and stubbled across this gem! It was a Sunday evening and dead but we had a great time! Cool atmosphere with good food. Bar tender was friendly and made for a great evening. Menu is a QR code which was nice. We started with the deviled eggs that were more that just a standard egg. Great tastes topped with bacon! I had the steak taco that featured huge steak bites. T had the shrimp platter that had enough for us to share. If you are in the area and want a good place to hang out and have a drink, this is your spot!
Pro tip, the regulars that showed up were awesome! Everyone we talked with was super friendly and shared a few drinks with. One guy was the BLING KING master! We left with nine ducks!

Cool little spot with a great atmosphere! Staff is great and on point with service. Food is not bad. Great beer selection with a full bar. Plenty of seating with a couple tables outside. If your looking for a spot to have a beer, bite to eat, or check out a game on the TV, check this place out!

We ordered take out lunch and were super excited to try the grill
But once we received our order the excitement was soon ended
The tacos were coated in grease – literally dabbed a napkin to try to soak up the grease and yet the grease just ran out of the tacos which had nothing but meat and cheese unfortunately both orders of tacos were thrown in the trash
The fish basket we ordered smelled Devine until we opened the box and saw the over fried fish- that was crunchy and hard. The fries couldn’t even be eaten because they tasted like they were cooked n old grease
The hamburgers -how do you mess up a burger -well it was definitely well done and biting into the burger was like trying to find the beef.
Definitely disappointed

February 6, 2025 – I’d like to give a “ 4.75 rating” . . . but this app won’t allow me ! Overall, it’s a good pub, good food, and great service!
My wife & I walked in , a big call out, “ Welcome” from Josh, who greeted us! Sit anywhere, not crowded. As we looked over the beer & wine list. . . I noticed craft beers , but No dark beers ! Nut brown ales, medium bodied ? They did have Guinness. Hopefully they can add a few darker beers.
After ordering, we looked the place over. A good size circular bar counter. Maybe 12 to 15 tables scattered about , with a corner reserved for live music. Every Friday & Saturday night from 7 to 10 pm local bands play a variety of music. No admission, and I hear . . . there’s lots of dancing!
Back to food, Josh brought our steamed SHRIMP as our appetizer! 1 pound of shrimp cooked with an Old Bay spice. So yummy! My wife said her Chicken Caesar wrap was Very good! Then my Crimora arrived, w/braised beef, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, and herb aioli on sourdough bread! Excellent sandwich, that dips & licks the Au Jus sauce! Delicious! . My Kolsch beer, would be a better spring & summer selection, but it’s winter in February . . .
Kudos to owners Chris & Mark Allen in Waynesboro ( VA), their pub offers good food, good service , music & dancing. I’d wish for a darker & heavier ales & porters in winter months ( Please)

This place has a vibe. Posters on the wall. Music playing. And Harry Potter on TV. The service was perfect. The guy who took my order was the bartender. He politely told me about scanning the menu. I said I’m not familiar with it and called myself a dinosaur. He smiled you look young for a dinosaur. I got the Pork Belly, which I really like (had it B4) and the fish basket. The food was spot-on. I wish the gave me 2 pieces of fish, but it was filling. Probably didn’t need a 2nd piece. But let me tell you about the coleslaw. Dammit yo, it was fresh, nice size, and good. I strongly recommend this place. It was like Cheers, but no one knew your name and you was welcomed anyway.

I’ve been coming here for many years through many changes. I do miss all of the sandwiches they made that were named after local towns. I like the creativity different deli like sandwiches. * They have started bringing them back since the last review. That being said, I like this place and the food options. The food is always good, the drinks are well made and the beer changes. That last part can be frustrating but keeping stouts etc. in the summer is pointless so I understand. I can always find something I enjoy with my meal. The staff of great and, live music on weekends and a relaxed atmosphere that is still child friendly. A bar that is a repurposed bowling alley is a nice touch as well. As a fan of a good burger with an equally good beer this is always an option. There is also everything from shrimp to several kinds of tacos. Damn good fish and chips etc..
Any place with live music with an outside seating area and many other seating options, give this place a visit.

We had a party of 12. We got our waitress’ name but of course I forgot it. She was busy yet attentive. The food and drinks was great and the atmosphere was 10/10.
