There’s a mariachi band on weekends at this festive Mexican eatery serving beer & fruity cocktails.

So, I came here with the intent of enjoying some delicious food with my friends. But it started off very strange right off the bat.
They expected us to arrange our own seating, came to us after like 10 minutes asking if we’re ready but forgot that we didn’t even get menus yet.. we didn’t even get offered any waters or starter until the 3rd time she had to check on us.
The waitress got our first round of drinks wrong & they seemed already melted? But we had ordered margaritas so that was confusing.
The chips did seem a bit stale for the first round. I’d have to heavy agree with the other reviewers about the salsa being lackluster.
When the food arrived, the refried beans were horrible and the rice was dry. It’s crazy how the only “good” thing were their garlic knots lol..
Yea the waitress honestly was just not doing well at all & didn’t seem to listen to us

We tried 3C’s tonight.. and there are NO complaints.
We started with the prosecco rita and a mojito (which were both amazing!) and then moved onto the stuffed jalapeños which were both spicy and plentiful, tons of flavor, and with quite a few!
For our entrees I got the chicken parmesan entrée which was cooked perfectly and my fiancé ordered the chicken alla vodka pizza which had both tender chicken and deliciously flavored vodka sauce!
All in all we can’t complain, after all, we met here (When it was 75 Center)! So this place characteristically already holds a huge place in our heart, but with timely and amazing service, great food, and a great vibe, how couldn’t it! If you haven’t been since 75 Center closed, please give it a try! you WONT regret it!!!!!

The food was delicious and the waiter was so kind. I asked which was better, a soft corn tortilla or a crispy one. He suggested I get one of each as I was already ordering 2 tacos. I did just that and decided that both were great but I liked the crispy one more! He came back to check on us and seemed pleased with my verdict. We ended up ordering 3 desserts and they were all amazing! Churros were my favorite, literally to die for! The fried ice cream had a really cool flaming display and such a great taste, but I personally wasn’t a fan of the texture. I got cheesecake to-go for my boyfriend and he said it was perfect! I highly recommend going on taco Tuesdays for some seriously great prices! 🙂

It’s amazing how easily you can spot real reviews from real customers and fake reviews that were cut and pasted, or made by the owners or friends of the owners. Take note, the reviews towards the end of the ones listed are of “ElSombraro”, in southington. Considering the owners attention to detail is this sloppy, it’s no wonder the food and drinks are similar. Margaritas tasted like a weak, pre-mixed batch (cost savings) & store bought salsa (with cilantro added)..shame.

Dinner was spectacular. The service, food and atmosphere were all out of this world. We have been here before, and it never disappointed us, but tonight it was extra exceptional. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all that want a great Mexican meal. You will not be disappointed.

We only had a couple drinks, Mexican beer and a margarita!! The chips with salsa are really fresh. If you like very spicy salsa ask for it!, it’s so good and hot the bartender was very friendly and makes you feel welcome!

I went here around 1 n the afternoon for lunch. Arroz con pollo. The chicken was dry and reheated. The rice was obviously leftovers and reheated. Some dark some ok colored. All dry. The black beans had something white floating in the middle of the cup. The service was not good at all. If you pull into a restaurant and there is 0 people there at lunch, that should be a clue. When I was waiting for my order, I looked up at the vents in the entryway. Black mold around all of the diffusers. For your health, DO NOT go to this restaurant. For your wallet, $18 is way too much for reheated last nights garbage. The chips were stale and the salsa had an off tast, no spice left. Please do not punish yourself.

Good place. Popped in during happy hour and just had appitizers. Decent choices, good food!
Service was great. Waiter was all over it. Very accommodating. Live music in the front and the restaurant is split in 2, a bar side and a restaurant. Decent sized place.
Overall, a good local place, nestled in the corner of a shopping center. If you are looking for decent Mexican food at a good price, definately consider this one. If it were local to me I would eat here pretty often.

Came here to El Sombrero for a happy hour on a taco Tuesday. I had one shredded chicken, one shredded beef and one pork adobado on soft corn tortillas. They come with pico de gallo , cheese, and lettuce. All three were pretty good, I’d say the chicken and beef were my favorites. Great frozen strawberry margarita, just perfect
