Social Profile:

I think Mike has wanted to own his own restaurant since he was 2 years old sitting in his parents’ garden eating raw onions! He loves to cook and he loves to cook for others. Mike is the second youngest of nine kids. I am the fourth of six. We grew up in Gorham, went through first communion together and graduated from Gorham High School together (Class of 1977). In 2002, we met at our 25th high school reunion and have been together ever since. Between us, we have three children, Mike, Jess and Phil. As all grandparents have said, we have five beautiful grandchildren! We could not do this venture alone. Our partners, Greg and Debbie live in Texas, with their children, Nicole and Ryan.

Longtime, quaint restaurant featuring seafood, steaks & pasta dishes in a down-to-earth atmosphere.

This place was the most underwhelming experience that we had in Maine on our fishing trip. We had a party of three and ordered three appetizers (1 crab rangoons, and 2 chicken tenders) along with a lobster roll dinner for each of us. It was approximately $150 worth of food.

The food itself was the first issue, the lobster rolls were just bad. I am not a super high level food reviewer or anything, but I am 99% sure the lobster used was frozen, which came as a shock being in Maine because I can get live lobster in central New York where I live.

The next problem came when my son asked for his second refill on his Mountain Dew. I was absolutely shocked when the waitress told me that my sons fountain soda refill request would be an additional $2. Maybe I am the bad guy here, it was probably listed on the menu and I just didn’t notice it or something. I may have taken for granted that fountain refills are just part of the experience.

The only thing that saved this place from a one star review was the waitress providing great service. That being said, the quality of the lobster rolls that were provided was too poor, and the charge for fountain refills will keep me from coming back next time I am through the area for another fishing trip.

Food was excellent! Service was great. Prices were reasonable.

There was a live musician, wasn’t a fan of that otherwise the atmosphere is very good.

2nd trip, it was very good.

Prices are outrageous not what I expected at all we ordered the chowder it was called no flavor whatsoever we doused salt and pepper on it and still didn’t make it better for $12 I am so upset I brought a gentleman out to eat seafood in Maine I was never so embarrassed the baked potato was reheated and so dry we couldn’t he couldn’t even eat it we got no dinner rolls with our dinners that cost over $20 it was just awful Also I expected nice shrimp nice scallops scallops for the size of under a nickel and the shrimp look like popcorn shrimp very disappointed

My party of 8 arrived at 5pm. We had reserved a table and all was ready. Our waitress, Eve, was not just pleasant and accommodating, she was friendly, joking and made us feel like family. Orders included, baked stuffed haddock and scallops, fried shrimp, fried haddock, broiled haddock. All cooked to perfection! From proteins to baked potato, to even French fries.. a smile and a happy comment to the end. We are all from Maine, 6 of us now live in the VA and Fl. But This made our Maine return trip amazing! Thank you 390 main St, cooks, staff and, now Sweet Crazy Eve (evil) we look forward to a return. This rated a 10 in our book. Labbe family

Casual with a comfortable vibe. Seafood, steaks and burgers. Lobster pie was great, fresh fried whole clams would have been fabulous but were a little gritty – just not quite cleaned thoroughly. Onion rings were really good. Prices were just a little above moderate, but the overall quality helped justify them. Will go back.

Don’t eat the scallops!!!!!! I ordered a scallop dinner. Something was wrong with the scallops. They left a foul taste in my mouth. I understand that things can happen with fresh fish. Something definitely tainted the scallops. Manager/Owner came out and berated med for telling him they didn’t taste right. He kept insisting they were fresh off the boat this morning. Maybe so, something was wrong with them. He then told me to “pay your bill and get out of his restaurant

Cute, fun place. Great lobster roll! The fries are awesome. The salad bar isn’t great-leaves a bit wilted. The server asked us ONCE if we were good but never came back and I needed extra napkins! Still 5 stars for the food and atmosphere. Prices very reasonable too.
