Great food, wait staff, and atmosphere all around for the Vikings game. Burgers are definitely top tier. Our entire crew was impressed

The location is fully unassuming, a great restaurant in an American Legion? Yup, you’d be amiss to assume. Mik is serving up great American fare and world class burgers. If it’s on the menu it’s gonna be great. Always try the Burger of the week, it’s gonna be great. Since it’s a Legion, drinks are more than reasonable, I think their cheap. Figure 50 for 2 people, shared app, 2 drinks, and 2 entrees. Get the Brussel sprouts, trust me

We dropped by 328 Grill because of its award status for having some of the best cheese curds and tots in the whole state. We arrived right at opening time at 11am on Saturday. Judging by the calls of greeting the staff made to others as they entered, this is a place with a lot of regulars. The whole vibe of the place is homey, nothing fancy, but it’s well-kept and well-loved. There were two rooms we could sit in, over by the bar or near to the pull-tab and gaming counter; we went by the counter.

Service was good the whole time. We shared the cheese curds. They were indeed exceptional. Very thin breading over piping hot cheese, giving the effect of little cheesy clouds. Definitely some of the best I’ve had.

My son had the fries, and I had one as well. They were outstanding. Crisp and seasoned in all the right ways. My husband had a burger alongside tots, and greatly enjoyed his food.

I ordered the Fondue You Love Me with a side salad. As I dug into my sandwich, I kept thinking, this is good, but where’s the cheese? I didn’t bring up the issue with the server, because we just couldn’t wait around as we had a hockey game to get to, but if you compare my sandwich pic to those posted by other people, the absence of the fondue aspect is pretty clear. To their credit, it was still a good sandwich, but it could’ve been amazing. At least the awesome curds had already given me a good dose of cheese for the day.

VERY BUSY Fish fry. Long lines moving fast. Very well organized. Loud. Tight squeeze walking & seating
They pack them in… feel kind of rushed. Fish and coleslaw tasty. the gr.beans, potatoes & mac&ch. we’re all mushy. $20.00 all you can eat… Not self serve, get back in long lines.

First time trying the 328 grill since they went live. Been a few years. Food was good. Burgers were cooked well and tasted great. Deep fried pickles were good. The chicken wild rice was decent but nothing over the top exciting. Next time I plan to try the chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce.

This place was recommended by a friend that watched a review on Tik Tok. We all had burgers and started our meal with their famous Cheese curds appetizer. (No photo of them, but they were amazing!) Burgers are not made with typical hamburger as most places are.service was good. This place was very busy. We came on a Saturday afternoon for late lunch (2 pm). It’s a place where you seat yourself, so we had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table to seat 5. This place is in the VFW and has a bar if you choose to drink while waiting for a table.

Absolutely fantastic place! I can’t say enough about it.
Service was absolutely great. They were very attentive but not tge over the top hover. Very friendly and answered all of our questions.
328 is effectively the American Legion. I believe the kitchen or food experience is 328, and the rest is the Legion. So now you know or understand the atmosphere and what to expect.
The food takes a little bit to come out. But when it does, it’s so worth the wait! We really enjoyed our selections. We can’t wait to go back and try something different.
Hope this helps. Cheers!

We decided to see what this 328 Grill inside the American Legion in St Paul Park was all about. Social media had been having a lot of posts about its good burgers. It’s your typical American Legion setup and feel but their menu has a handful of burgers. I had the Rodeo burger which honestly wasn’t good at all. Way to much barbecue source turned it into a sloppy mess. The fries were one of three varieties offered and were just your basics seasoned frozen ones. Some sort of dill infused burger was ordered
and the recipient of this said her tater tot’s were good but the burger was Ho hum. At 14$ or so I expected much more. Chicken wings was the other order and were par for the course and 15$. Maybe it was a bad day. Maybe I was fooled by the hype as everything is over hyped in America these days. If we’re ever in the area again I’d probably swing in but this time sure felt like a disappointment.

Casual place with great burgers and sides. They have a special “Burger of the Week”. I had that which was a “Phatty Melt” which included fried onions and melted cheese on great marble rye bread. The Cajun-seasoned tots I had for the side were also hot, crisp and tasty.

We found this place from a page we follow on Facebook so we had to try it. This is set in the American Legion in St Paul Paul Park. Your standard Legion older tables and chairs. Everyone seems to know everyone. We started out with the buffalo fries. This is house fries topped with chicken tenders, buffalo sauce, and ranch. This was so flavorful. The fries had an amazing flavor with a good crunch. The buffalo sauce was rich and spicy. The chicken tenders were fried to perfection with a good crunch. The ranch pulled it all together. One of my favorites. We also tried the tater tot hot dish soup. I’m not a soup guy but this was so amazing. Great flavor with a touch of sweetness from the corn. We shared the Fo’ cheezy burger. A perfectly seasoned burger with American, cheddar and pepper jack cheese sitting in between 2 pieces of Parmesan crusted sour dough bread. This bread was so delicious! Amazing flavor in every bite. We also shared the burger of the week, shorty don’t play. This is their signature short rib brisket, chuck Patty top with braised short ribs, in gravy and white cheddar cheese on a grilled brioche bun with herb mayo. It is sloppy in every bite and so delicious. Every bite from start to finish is flavorful and messy. For sides we got the cajun tots as well as regular. Nice crispy crunch with well seasoned flavors. Chef Mil German is a master at burgers. Our server Amy was a rockstar. Great knowledge of menu and very attentive to customers needs.
