We had an absolute blast at 22 Bowens! Izzy and I decided to come here last second on a Friday night and we were in for a treat. The moment we waked in, we knew this place was a great balance of class, but not overly classy, fine dining, but not anything more expensive than most of Newport. Upon entering, we saw a large amount of seating with beautiful decor, classic music, and soft lighting. The servers are dressed professionally and everyone is in a great mood. We were escorted upstairs to a heated balcony overlooking parts of Newport and it was Beautiful.

The menu had a large selection of options. The restaurant is Al a Carte with things priced about what you would expect for the location. Cocktails are also priced similarly to everything else in Newport, 17-30$. Entrees are anywhere from 30 to 300$. The most expensive things of course have to deal with large seafood platters, imported steaks, etc.

We started with a Dirty Martini and The Last Show Cocktail. The Martini was generously poured and the other cocktail, made with luxardo, chartreuse and gin, was delicious. As an appetizer, we had clams and oysters which were meaty and fresh. We moved on to the crab cakes which had a ton of lump crab meat in them. The Wagyu dumplings were next and they were good, just not worth their price in my opinion as the meat is obviously cooked too much for Wagyu. Either way, they’re still 7/10. We moved on to dinner and had the rack of lamb, truffle mac and truffle fries.

The lamb was perfectly cooked medium rare and tender of course. Chimichurri was served on the side and was authentic. Truffle mac and truffle fries had a decent amount of truffle oil to get the right flavors but not be overwhelming. Everything totaled to about 340$ after tip for two people. But that was with 5 drinks, 3 apps, and dinner + 2 sides.

Our server, Fabio, was awesome! He did a great job at providing recommendations for everything as well as great conversation. We loved it and plan to come back!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the experience went beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special—the table with a beautiful view, the relaxed yet elegant vibe, and the attentive, thoughtful service.
The food was absolutely perfect! It was the kind of dinner that makes you slow down and truly enjoy the moment.
An unforgettable night and the perfect place to celebrate something meaningful. We can’t wait to come back.

Stopped here for lunch and were blown away by the french onion soup. They have gf croutons to make it accessible to those with gluten allergies which is a great touch. My celiacs partner had a burger on a gluten free bun with a side salad (fries were cross contaminated) and I had a delicious fried fish sandwich (not gluten free). Our server was very knowledgeable about allergies and cross contamination and allergies were clearly indicated with signs when they dropped dishes off to the table.

22 Bowens is excellent. The location on a peire was beautiful. Tons of shops around. We chose to be seated inside for the A/C. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. We started with very yummy salads. Then our beautiful steaks and great side dishes.

Everything was amazing! The food was delicious, with each dish expertly prepared and bursting with flavor, from the savory oysters and calamari to the perfectly seasoned steaks and seafood. The atmosphere was cozy and beautifully set up with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and tasteful decor, creating an inviting environment. Service was attentive and friendly, with prompt responses to our needs. Prices were very reasonable and matched the high quality of the food perfectly, offering great value for a memorable dining experience.
Additionally I made some of most beautiful photos of the sunset. It was incredible and great to see it even as a local person.
Thank you!

Parker M was our server at 22 Bowen’s this past weekend, and he was fantastic—super friendly, attentive, and always checking in to make sure we were good. He was fun to chat and joke around with too—such a nice guy! 😉

My friends had the Lobster Roll, I went with the Grain Bowl and some Parmesan Truffle Fries on the side—everything was delicious.

We sipped Aperol Spritz while taking in the view. Honestly, the food, drinks, vibe, and the way Parker took care of us made the whole experience.

Definitely coming back! 🙂

Great place to stop in for a drink and bite to eat. We enjoyed the berry sangria and summer breeze cocktails both light and refreshing.
For meals we we shared the crab cake appetizer filled with delicious crab meat and seasoned perfectly. Entrees were a woldorf salad with grilled chicken, a bit too much dressing and cranberries, the chicken was fairly bland even with the pesto esque marinade it was covered in.
The hot honey chicken sandwich was full of flavor but the farrier pieces were a big turn off, and in my spicy opinion, there was not enough of the jalapeno slaw. All in all, we would try again and try different meals.

Even on a busy Saturday, we were able to find a nice, quaint area at the second floor bar. We were greeted immediately with friendly bartenders, and their service remained impeccable through our entire time there.

We started with espresso martinis, and then let the food vibes take us where it wanted to go. It lead us to the truffle fries, which were arguably the best I’ve ever had. Then came a few oysters and the clam s chowder. Both were delicious, and if you love dill, you must the the chowder.

We ended with a second espresso martini, because it was creamy and delicious, with the Waldorf Salad and Wagyu Dumplings.

Everything was delicious but it was truly the staff that made the experience so wonderful.
