We had the Duck Pho (they got the duck meat prepped right!). Khao Soi Chicken curry was delicious and it’s a sweeter curry. The Soft Shell Crab sushi was great! We had the Thai Ice tea…delicious.
Not just a Thai restaurant. 202 Bangkok Thai & Sushi Bar and Grill offers other Asian favorites like Hawaiian Poke Bowls, Terriyaki and Pho. Lots of cocktails, beer and spirits drinks choices here.
My recommendation is, “Thai it. You will like it!”
Edit: came back on 10/16 and ordered a bunch of rolls. Seriously so delicious and service was amazing. Thanks James!
Great experience overall. Beautiful food.
Sierra was spread a little thin with all of her tables, but she was friendly and took care of us.
Jason let us know that our waitress, Averi, would be with us shortly, and honestly, she was such a sweetheart. Super attentive and kind, made sure our table was well taken care of the entire time.
The vibe at 202 Bangkok is definitely different from Thai Basil (which is still our absolute favorite). Thai Basil has a calmer, more dialed-in, Asian-inspired theme. it’s more peaceful, intimate, and a little more traditional. 202, on the other hand, has more of a bar-forward, louder, young adult kind of energy. It’s got a modern, social atmosphere and so it really depends on what kind of night you’re looking for.
My family and I had a great time, and the food, whew, the food, it was absolutely delicious! I stayed with my usual go-to, the beef pho, which hit the spot as it always does. Mama ordered the green curry seafood, and my dad had the Pad Woon Zen (with beef and shrimp) he actually said it was the **BEST** he’s ever had! Mama and I were obsessed with the green curry. It was delicious and was packed with flavor and spice in the best way. I think almost every recipe with coconut milk just tastes better.
For appetizers, we were delightfully surprised with the Bang Bang Shrimp that went fast! Lol. Mama enjoyed the spicy tuna tamaki, my baby ordered the lumpia (fried veggie egg rolls), and I went with the Bahamas Roll sushi. Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully plated.
202 did not** disappoint from start to finish. It was a wonderful experience. All of our meals were flavorful and satisfying. We left full, happy, and already thinking about what to try next time!
I already knew I was going to enjoy my first experience in 202 because of all the great meals I’ve had at Thai Basil. It’s honestly such a blessing to have *two* amazing restaurants ,each* with its own talented chef, holding it down in Villa Rica and Carrollton. That’s what I call divide and conquer! We’re lucky to have both spots so close by.
The atmosphere is open and inviting and there’s plenty of seating inside and out.
The menu is expensive and has great starters like Som Tom “papaya salad“ or chicken Larb.
We started with two ginger salads that had an exceptional homemade ginger salad dressing. The greens were fresh, which enhanced the flavor of the bowl.
Milady ordered the Highlands 41 Chardonnay, which she immediately sent back describing it as stump water.
When we returned home, we discovered it was still on our bill, even after she went back, spoke to the bar and ordered the Bravium Chardonnay.

The big turn off for me at 202 Bangkok Street Food, are the menus.
The menus are tattered, torn and staples are gone. The ones that we were handed, had food on them with pages sticking together! I honestly felt like I needed to wash my hands after handling the menu.
If they are that bad, go to Kinko’s and print some new ones for crying out loud!
Does anyone in management even see this?
This is a dealbreaker to hand me a nasty menu and expect me to order from it and then think the kitchen is clean. However, Milady wanted to stay, and the food ended up being well prepared.
We’ll be back because the food is that good but hopefully when you get some new menus.
1. Dynamite roll – $18 good portion, bland taste. Would not eat again.
2. Salmon roll- $12 smallest roll I have ever seen, but tasted ok, cost 4 times it’s worth.
3. Potsticker – $10 normal portion, overpriced, tasted off. WEIRD, doubt it was chicken. I even like the frozen ones I used to get from Trader Joe’s much better.
4. Seaweed salad – $8 too small for the cost, about 2 or 3 tablespoons, maybe 1/3 cup, but I liked it.
5. Thai coffee- $7 had old soured dairy creamer. We ALL know what that smells and tastes like. I took a few sips then poured it out.
Total 55 + tax + 9 tip for takeout. Sorry, not worth nearly 70
I added a quarter to the pictures as a size reference.
