The Watson was absolutely delicious! The staff was super friendly — special shoutout to Sam, our waiter, who recommended the brisket mac and cheese appetizer. It was so good we had to order a second one to go! The potato wedges were chef’s kiss, and the wings were packed with flavor.
We kept the drinks simple with a Black Cherry Smash, which paired perfectly with everything. Between the amazing food, great service, and breathtaking views, this place is an easy 10/10. Highly recommend!

We recently had dinner here, while visiting San Antonio. The shrimp spinach and artichoke dip with wontons was delicious! That was our absolute favorite! The dinner menu didn’t have a lot of options . I think brunch is more popular. We ended up ordering wings, which were mediocre. They could of been fried hard, too juicy. The view is amazing and the drinks were good! Next visit we will try brunch instead.

Had the Chili and Herb Crusted Salmon and I have to say I was very satisfied. My meal was worth the price. The seating was limited so I’d recommend reserving your seats at least a week and a half in advance. The Espresso Martini was flavorful and packed a punch. The views are always incredible this time of year. There were no space heaters outside in the balcony so it got a little chilly for others and I. Service was great, I felt very welcomed and taken care of. I will be coming back!

Amazing experience! The views are gorgeous, the food and drinks top it off. Roy was our server and took great care of us. He was also our local historian. We asked him about some of the buildings in the area and he gave us the whole history of them and the area. He really took our experience to another level. We can’t wait to come back.

I’m quite literally standing in the restaurant as I type this. The service was fine. Getting my drink, being spoken to nicely that was all great. What was unappreciated and just kind of a morality flaw, is being hustled by a bartender. I paid for my first drink in cash and my friend had a tab. I ordered a beer on the tab bringing the total to 24.00 and some change. We had a discount on our offline app and where it clearly said $20 and was telling the bartenders is $20 somehow our tab comes out to $39.00 after letting them know I already paid for my first drink with a $20 they took it off and only added a $12.00 discount so the total came out to 23.00 we then told them again it was $20 not $12.00. Josh specifically didn’t seem too happy with our recognition of the bill, which I just believe if you’re going to attempt to hustle customers for a tip it’s kind of a low blow.

Great location for sure however I only wished I’d checked how much a glass of wine cost.. my tourist brain assuming it would be a normal no more than $15/glass.. but I ended up paying $75 for 3x glasses won’t do that again anytime soon!! So beware the buyer and know this place is expensive!

Downtown resident for 15 plus years. This is our backyard.
We heard some buzz about 1Watson within the downtown community.
So, as a good downtown ambassador should do, we went!
First tip, even though it’s part of the hotel. It has an on-street entrance. OOOPS.
When you first enter, it has a cool inside bar vibe, but tonight we headed to the outside patio.
It’s not one of the highest rooftops, but it has a nice view. You face the courthouse, Towers of America.
Ordered our first round of drinks and then two appetizers. Our host was spot on. VERY nice …
I ordered the Western Egg Roll Dip, and Cin ordered Loaded Wedges. Both of them were VERY GOOD.
We found ourselves sneaking bites of each other’s apps!
Server was GREAT – Keenon
Pricing was just like any other downtown bar/hotel/restaurant. We missed the happy hour, so we paid full price.
$38.00 for two drinks and two apps.
We added it to our list when friends are visiting or when asked about rooftop places.
We have gone again, actually three times now.
Ken with Offline – They say “Three times is a charm” Not for this staff and operation. All three visits have been SUPER! From the checkin, to the bartenders, and management. Oh Chef, for the love of God keep the new chicken sandwich on the menu!
A special place and only a 5 minute walk for us.

Sarah with Offline – Can’t believe I haven’t reviewed 1Watson before now! I’ve been a couple of times prior and have always loved the food. The interior is just beautiful and if you make our way outside the views of the SA skyline can’t be beat. During my most recent visit I enjoyed a delicious clubhouse sandwich that had a crab salad in it (YUM) and a muddled berry cocktail. The service was slow at the beginning but as soon as we got their attention she was very kind and attentive. Highly recommend this place if you have out of town guests or if you just want some good food and cocktails with a fantastic view.
