1921 Mount Dora is an upscale dining establishment that also offers culinary delights for our local guests. We are the best of both worlds, offering museum quality interiors and professional, courteous staff who will remember your name, favorite beverage and food preferences. We have been highlighted as Worth the Drive by the Orlando Sentinel recommended by Travel & Leisure as a restaurant to try while visiting in Orlando. However, you may join us in the Lounge for Happy Hour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 2- 6:30. We also offer Brunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

How have we missed this for so long. A priceless gem in downtown Mt. Dora. The outside is terribly plain. But instead is a beautiful, comfortable place. Just looking for a place to escape the heat, we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful. We ordered the happy hour white sangria and a happy hour Artisan Cheese plate with Plum Tomato Jam and Toasted Sourdough Bread. Good thing it was only $7 because it wasn’t much of a cheese plate. It was a single slice of cheese with jam and Texas toast. It tasted great but we were expecting a cheese plate. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and will plan another visit.

We are from St Petersburg and wanted to escape the city for your 3rd anniversary so we headed to Mount Dora to spend the afternoon and have a nice dinner. We made a reservation here based off of other reviews and we were not disappointed! This place is a big city, high quality, impressive restaurant in the heart of small town Florida. It’s decorated with unique artwork which makes the atmosphere fun and sophisticated but the amazing part is the food!! The menu changes daily. They list the local farmers and food producers in which they source their ingredients. We ended up not even ordering an entree because we were having far too much fun exploring other areas of the menu. The venison tartare was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve ever had! The baked oysters with pumpkin and golden raisins sounds odd and yet were amazing. The chocolate mouse was to die for. However, what impressed us most was the wonderful service. They were attentive, polite and went above and beyond bringing us an extra dessert made special by the chef. To top it all off , we had special printed menus with “Happy Anniversary” and our date.

My favorite restaurant to eat at anytime. Brunch or dinner every plate is delicious. The drinks are perfectly prepared. The octopus appetizer with the duck egg are one of the best plate I have ever tried. And of course the Black Dahlia cocktail. Totally recommend and for sure I’ll be back. Could be expensive but every plate is worth.

Went during Easter weekend. Service was great and so was the food. Ordered oysters, steak, breakfast platter and kids burger. All tasted great the sweet potato on the steak was a nice touch. Great garlic flavor on the oysters as well. Service took awhile getting our food but understandable due to Easter weekend.

My family and I came here this evening for my Mom’s birthday, and everything was spectacular. The service, food, atmosphere, cleanliness, just all-around wonderful. My husband, Mom, and I all got the poached chicken, and the flavors that are married within the dish was just absolutely delicious. My Brother got the Wagyu burger, and my Sister-in-law got steak. We also got the rolls as a starter, and they were by far, the best rolls I’ve ever had. Everything seemed to be made with love which I appreciate very much. Katie Chipper, our waitress, was very attentive coming around refilling drinks, setting the silverware, asked if everything was okay and how we were doing. The restaurant is very clean, and artsy. It really is beautiful! There was a blown glass chandelier hanging above our table, which I thought was very unique. The bathrooms are also very clean, and have really good quality napkins so you only need one to dry your hands. My Husband and I are already planning on coming back because we loved it so much! Really great evening, and made my Mom’s birthday special.

1921 was a magnificent culinary experience. Beautiful presentation and everything was top notch. Started with the melon and octopus appetizers, then to the lamb shank and trout dinners, and finishing with the goat cheesecake. All delicious!

Great restaurant in Mt Dora !!! The food and creativity of the chef were amazing. The presentation of the food was thoughtful and well thought out. The decor of the restaurant is modern and upscale. The staff are very professional and friendly. Mason was our server and he was super knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended this place ask for Mason.

It was such a weird but in a good place place! The dishes were seasonal and everything was on point. Cocktails were also tasty. The service was impeccable. I got the pork belly and scallops and she got the steak. Nothing was missing, they even printed specialty menus because it was my girls birthday, what a memorable touch! Will definitely go again as soon as I’m back in Mount Dora. The whole place is like a museum you eat in.
