Social Profile:

Local people, local beer, local ingredients. At 1820 BrewWerks, we’re all about Putnam County. After playing around with a home brewery for a little over a decade, we realized our hometown was missing something. Our own local brewery! We are serious about being local and source as many of our ingredients as we can from right here in Putnam County. Located in Columbus Grove, we’ve partnered with Barley 5 for our grain – they harvest, malt, and roast the grain directly. We’re super excited for the Winter Barley which is unique to them. Our hops, are sourced from Frogtown in Glandorf. We’re also pumped to partner with local farms like Suter’s, Kaufman Hydroponics, and the Knueven Creamery to bring delicious flavors and food to the brewery.

I love this place
I’ve never had buffalo chicken fries. They were incredible.
The cheese stuffed bread sticks were even better.
Then, I tried the raspberry rockstar and wow…so good. Not overwhelming and so easy to drink
I love this place and can’t wait to come back sometime

Our 40th Class Reunion was held in the side room. Jen Evans, our coordinator/hostess, was awesome, along with the staff who worked the event. They handled the decorations, food and drinks so professionally, and even helped me put up a banner for the event. The food was hot and replenished as needed. Jen made sure we were good with everything before she clocked out for the night. I would highly recommend 1820 BrewWerks and Jen for future activities.

We used to like coming here, but after tonight I have decided I wont be back. The last 3 times we have ordered the pizza, there was hardly any toppings on them, the bread sticks were hard to chew and dry. I was told 25 minutes and the food wasn’t even done and they hadn’t even started the subs and they were probably the worst we have had from here.

Great brewery with good pub food and excellent service. Staff was so friendly and checked in multiple times even though it’s an order at the bar situation. Brought lots of pop refills without our asking. We had a nice pizza, beer and salad. The pizza was big we had plenty to take home. Fries were a little less crispy than I usually go for (only reason I’m saying 4 instead of 5 stars). I wish I could leave 4.5!

We seen a flyer at a different restaurant so we thought we would check it out. The beer was amazing. We ordered flat breads. Came out fast tasted delicious. The it was song bingo nignt which we had a blast playing. The manager was very polite and treated us like regulars. We will definitely be adding this to one of our family favorites.

Drinks are great, food is good. Service is going to the counter to place orders and they bring to table. Drink refills are requested at the counter. There’s no server. Atmosphere is quiet and weird. Locals are very snobbish, but employees are nice.

Nice brewery and diner, that appears to be a new or refurbished building. I stopped early in the afternoon as i was passing thru, and was glad I did. They were doing some very good lunch business, so I went for the lunch buffet, which was a great deal, with the pizza and salad bar. I tried one of their beers, a Roadie Red ale that had a tasty roasted flavor, that i enjoyed. I will need to go back when i can try out some more food and brews.
Having not been here in a while, I brought some family and friends. Everyone enjoyed appetizers and drinks, while placing a pin in the map board from the state they were from.

Great place to stop in for a bite and a beer or two. We were in town for a wedding and found this gem in Kalida. Stopped in for dinner with family who loved what they did with the old steakhouse. Met and chatted with the owner along with his wife and kids. Dedicated to putting out a good product at a reasonable price. We had the nachos smothered with cheese and hamburg meat. Only suggestion, find a more “exciting” chip provider, chips were a little bland. Beer was phenomenal, only regret the Oktoberfest wasn’t quite ready while we were there. Looking forward to returning next time were in town!
