What an experience! The ambience transported me to an elegant mansion of the Guilded Age. The waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food, oh my, the food was extraordinary. The antipasti from the pre fixe menu included fresh from the ocean this morning fluke crudo on a bed of tart apple mixed with sharp horseradish balanced by a smooth crème fraiche. The à la carte menu included the 18 Bay Classic Seafood Stew which has apparently been on the menu since the first iteration of 18 Bay. It was a standout . All fresh and locally sourced , it included some of finest tasting seafood I have ever had in a tasty tomato broth that required seconds and thirds of the freshly baked filone – brought in daily from Sullivan Bakery in SoHo to sop up . My poached pear in a delicate buttery crust was a perfect finish to my meal .

From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The atmosphere was very pretty and updated , stylish yet comfortable, making it such a great place to relax and enjoy. The bartender was amazing ,the cocktails were by far some of the best I’ve ever had, creative, balanced, and absolutely delicious.
Our server was attentive, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, even with allergy requests, which made the experience so comfortable and enjoyable. The food was just as impressive -beautifully presented, creative, and full of flavor. The lamb with carrots was cooked perfectly and absolutely incredible, and the scallop crudo was so fresh and tasty.
You can tell the team here really cares about quality, creativity, and hospitality. 18 Bay is a true gem, can’t wait to come back!

There are very few places that truly transport you the moment you arrive, but this is one of them. Chris took everything he learned working at one of the best restaurants in New York City and brought it out to Jamesport, and the result is exceptional.
From the moment you pull up, it feels like you’ve stepped into a different world. It’s beautiful without being pretentious. It feels like home, yet everything operates at the highest professional level.
The food is thoughtful, elevated, and precise, but never stuffy. It’s the kind of cooking that shows restraint and confidence. Nothing is trying too hard, yet everything is memorable.
The service is what defines the experience. It doesn’t feel transactional. It feels like people who genuinely care about you being there. It feels like your closest friends happen to be running one of the best dining rooms on the North Fork.
And the cocktails deserve special mention. They would stand out even among the best restaurants in Manhattan, yet somehow they’re offered without the usual pain that comes with Manhattan pricing.

18 Bay is back and as great as ever plus always evolving upwards. The well known tasting menu is still featured along side a new ala carte menu which is a welcomed addition. I did the tasting menu for my first dinner back and everything was executed perfectly. Wine and Cocktail program is just as interesting and exciting as expected. Looking forward to becoming a regular at the new location. Just what the north fork needed.

Phenomenal restaurant! If I could give them 6+ stars I would! From service, to wine pairing, to food it was all absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend the broiled oysters from the a la carte menu!

Fantastic food and service. I had the ricotta appetizer and braised beef pasta. Delicious and expertly prepared. My only comment is that the portion is very small for $36. The bread was excellent as was the olive oil cake dessert.

Elevated dining in a gorgeous setting with fantastic service. Chris was attentive and personable without being overbearing—a rare quality. You can tell he is a seasoned professional. The whole service team was great. Worth the drive if you’re coming from further west. We will be back.

Had an amazing dinner with a friend Monday night. It was absolutely exceptional. During the early part of the evening chef Elizabeth came out to clarify our dinning request. This place is a hidden gem. Finally the NOFO has a top notch restaurant. Put it on your list !!

A very disappointing dining experience. The most bland and unimaginative dishes and presentation. Recalling hospital food. Save the gratuitous use of hot pepper flavor in the seafood stew to cover for the lack of actual flavor. The waiters were very genial and attentive. And the building and decor has a lot of North Fork charm. Otherwise the main attraction, the meal, was a no-show.
