This hot, fresh, made to order lunch was the best local lunch I’ve had in a while! The atmosphere and music was a VIBE! The cabbage was so flavorful, chicken seasoned and fried to perfection! Stewed chicken was tender over a beautiful bed of rice! 10/10 highly recommend!

I really wanted to like this place. But here is why I rated it three stars. There needs to be more staff. My wife and I got there after the opening at 9, but they still weren’t ready for customers. When we walked in we didn’t see any staff and had to walk back to the kitchen to find anyone. There is only one person who works there who has to cook and wait on customers so service isn’t fast. Especially if she is cooking in the back when you walk in. The food was okay wasn’t cooked to my liking, but I’m kind of picky and I didn’t tell her how I wanted it cooked so that is on me. The ambiance is great though. I love the look and feel of the restaurant. A cool place to take a date if you aren’t in a hurry and want a nice place to talk.

We tried the breakfast buffet and it was so good! The service from Ms. Anita and her son was the best. They definitely make you feel welcome and at home. We even received a little history lesson while here. Great place and we will be back!

I was on my way from Christmas morning service and noticed that 1720 was serving breakfast. Most of the time because of my schedule I am unable to go by there to support their business but on this Christmas Morning I had some time so I stopped and WOW I am so glad that I did. Ms Anita and I had great conversation and food and service was excellent!!! So happy that I stopped by on Christmas Morning 2025 at the 1720 cafe and gift shop. I had girts eggs hash browns and some hot biscuits right out of the oven shut yo mouth and keep on talking. Will make you hurt yourself and Ms Anita has magic powers she knows when you need something because she will ask right when you were going to ask. All around great experience this morning so happy I stopped by!!!!!

Aaaw man where do I start. When we arrived late, the restaurant was closed. However, the owner, Joseph Smith, allowed us to come in and dine for an amazing breakfast that he cooked to accommodate us!! OMG It was DELICIOUS!!! The food, atmosphere along with great customer service was unmatched!!! I will definitely be back!!!! Loooove this place!!!
