This restaurant is small and cozy, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food overall was delicious, though there are a few changes I’d suggest that could really elevate both the dishes and the experience.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. However, there was some confusion with seating since our reservation was during a busy dinner time. Our table was for two, and we ended up waiting about 10 minutes before being seated.
We started with the bruschetta, which was good, but it would be much better if real Parmesan cheese were used instead of the packaged Kraft-style Parmesan. For our main course, we both ordered steak with two sides: asparagus with hollandaise and a loaded baked potato. The steaks were cooked perfectly to the temperatures we requested and were well seasoned. The baked potato was delicious, but the asparagus could have been better if the hollandaise sauce were made from scratch rather than coming from a supplier. That detail noticeably affected the overall meal.
For dessert, we ordered the cheesecake. It was good, but not memorable enough to be worth the calories.
Overall, we had a great dinner, and the live music added a special touch that made the evening feel more elevated. This is definitely a nice spot for special occasions, especially if you’re unable to find a reservation at a fine-dining restaurant.

Charming, upscale vibes with an inviting atmosphere. The staff is polite and attentive from the front of the house all the way through. Service truly stands out. The steak was exceptional, literally melting in your mouth. A great bonus is the Cigar Club held every 1st and 3rd Monday, which adds a unique touch to an already fantastic experience. Highly recommend for a special night out or a refined dining experience.

We ate here last Friday and it was pretty good. The steak was cooked perfectly and the cocktails were delicious. We had mashed potatoes and mac and cheese as sides. They were adequate, but I would take a quarter point off for the sides. Whit, our server, was absolutely wonderful during the entire meal. He was very engaging and provided great conversation during his table visits. We had a nice chat with the older couple at the table next to us. Reservations recommended.

Wonderful restaurant! It was our first time here this evening and it was so good. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. The manager John made it a point to ensure everyone felt welcomed. The food was just as good as the service! We got the wedge salad, prime rib, petite filet, grass fed ribeye, potatoes au gratin, mashed potatoes, grits and the blue cheese and 17 prime sauce. The food was amazing and did not disappoint one bit. It’s so nice having a cozy steakhouse in West Ashley. I highly recommend this restaurant. Not just for the food but the service as well.

First time visiting this hidden gem in West Ashley. It’s great to have a local top notch, upscale dinner option close by.
Our waitress, Calli, was amazing and made our first visit 1st class. She was attentive, friendly, insightful and was mindful of when to be present during dinner.
The owner stopped by our table and several others during our dinner to make sure everything was perfect which was an unexpected but a delightful addition.
Dinner: we had salads (huge portions – get the half), filet, and jalapeño corn and loaded baked potato were delish. We shared the sides. Dessert – we couldn’t decide so we had chocolate cake and carrot cake, both moist and yummy!
Definitely a go-to for date nights in West Ashley!

Food is amazing! Service was top notch, Ms. Katelyn was The Best! Love the reason they named it 17 Prime. When you dine there be sure to ask the reason it was named 17 Prime. I had to ask because 17 is my favorite #. Management is engaged and professional. I would definitely return. Wish it was a bigger place (my preference). Only disappointment is that I did not find this place sooner.

The food was prepared well. The atmosphere was very nice. A new restaurant can have many challenges, but when you acknowledge and overcome the tough moments with grace, that’s what pushes the experience over the top!! John and his staff are wonderful and I’ll definitely be joining them again for dinner. ✨️
