1653 Pizza isn’t your typical pizza spot — it offers a modern, creative take on pizza that makes it stand out in a great way. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the overall vibe feels fresh and inviting.

Parking can be tough, especially on busy days and weekends, so be prepared to circle around a bit, the top shelves could use some clean up But despite all that, the quality of the food and the experience make it worth the trip.

I’ll definitely be visiting again.

I went here on 1/17 with my boyfriend.
Absolute worst pizza of my entire life. I’ve gotten better pizza at bowling alleys. I ordered a buffalo pizza and there was 8 little dollops of shredded chicken that tasted like it came out of a can. I would bet money that it was tuna even because it was so indistinguishable. Had absolutely zero buffalo sauce. If i tasted it I would think it was just a cheese pizza. My boyfriend got the Hot honey sausage pizza and it was equally terrible. They use minimal hot honey and ground sausage is sprinkled on it. Soooo stingy with their ingredients. Everything is shredded or crumbled. We left so angry. This place should be ashamed of themselves. I know that food can be subjective but this is objectively bad food. I see them respond to comments saying they theyre trying to actively improve but people have been writing that it’s bland for years so whatever.

We went to the dead chefs society supper club event at this restaurant
Wow.
Mini preview of lasts night.

Dead Chef’s Tasting Menu at At 1654 Pizza Company – A Gold Coast Supper Club Experience

Last night on Long Island’s Gold Coast, I had the pleasure of experiencing something truly special: Dead Chef’s tasting menu at At 1654 Pizza Company in Huntington. What unfolded wasn’t just a dinner, but a full-on culinary performance that transformed the idea of a neighborhood pizza spot into a hidden gem supper club.

The evening unfolded course after course, each dish layered with creativity, bold flavors, and a touch of surprise. From refined takes on comfort food to plates that made you pause and savor every detail, it was clear that this wasn’t a typical night out—it was a carefully curated journey meant to linger in memory.

The atmosphere matched the menu: intimate, buzzing with energy, and elevated by a sense of discovery. Every dish felt like a conversation, and the storytelling behind the flavors was as captivating as the food itself.

Outstanding is the only word that fits—yet still feels like an understatement. This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience that makes you excited for what’s next.

The wife and I found this spot by accident and it was the best accident ever made! We sat at the bar to try their wood fired pizza and drinks… Let me tell you, as a pizza finatic, this outclasses most on Long Island(and I’ve tried most). They’ve even refined it more, nice crust, no flop, savory flavors. Frank is the man and his team is awesome. This place hit home so much we had our after wedding celebration here! Can’t recommend this place enough. If your in town, please stop by, you won’t regret it.

The pizzas offered fantastic flavors with fresh toppings and a perfectly charred crust. However, the excess liquid under each slice made them really soggy, affecting their structural integrity, and they were slightly on the salty side. The cheesy bread was underwhelming and overpriced, so I’d recommend skipping it. One highlight is that you can split the pies to sample multiple flavors, which adds variety to the meal. Despite a few issues, the meal was still enjoyable, and the bold flavors make it worth a visit. Overall, I’d give the experience a solid 4.5/5.

1653 Pizza is a great atmosphere and modern vibe for a pizza stop. The toppings and fun menu for both pizzas and drinks are great. It’s a typical Neapolitan pizza, the crust was good! I recommend you get a pizza with hot honey and a peroni!

This is my 2nd review ever. After tasting this pizza, I had to take it upon myself as a member of society to warn others about the quality of this establishment. All I wanted was a nice hot pie on a cold winter night and what I received was far from that. I ordered the sausage hot honey pizza. This pizza had zero flavor, no amount of red pepper flakes or parmesan could resurrect this pie. Crumbled up bits of sausage sparsely spread around the pie and a few peppers here and there haphazardly with a drizzle of hot honey(the only discernible flavor). The crust had a nice texture but again no flavor. I would’ve opted for bad tasting pizza rather than bland pizza, at least it would give me more to write about. Aside from the boring flavors the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Walking in, there was a lone dj spinning some obnoxiously loud club beats in a thinly populated restaurant. All this to say I was very disappointed with 1653 pizza. At least the bathrooms were clean.

Food was good. Ordered seafood fra diavolo online. The description from their website was stuffed pasta that included black truffle. The actual order was wildly different. When the called, they said, “Yeah, that’s not right” and hung up on me. No attempt to correct what was clearly unexpected.

A chill place with a bar. Food did take some time to come out. Only one waiter was on the floor. Pizza wasn’t crispy and the cheesy bread was just ok. The pizza itself didn’t really look good and taste was ok. Seemed bland like I know I got a classic but still. Just didn’t hit for me.

This place is pretty good! Yummy tasting focaccia and seasoned well! Then we got frozen limoncellos which tasted great (great summer item I think). Then we got a red pie a white pie and 2 pasta dishes all tasted superb. The atmosphere is nice as well! Just a little pricey but to be expected for a sit down place. But yummy food would definitely go back.
