Great Wall Chinese Restaurant (만리장성 중화요리) is not a traditional Chinese restaurant — it’s Korean-style Chinese food. The flavors are closer to what you’d find at Chinese restaurants in Korea, originally adapted by Chinese immigrants to better suit Korean tastes. Because of that, you can experience some unique dishes and flavors that are quite different from typical American Chinese restaurants.

If you’re expecting fully authentic mainland Chinese cuisine, this may not be it — but if you’re curious about Korean-Chinese food, it’s an interesting and distinctive option.

This neighborhood has many Asian restaurants that have stayed in business for a long time, which usually means consistency matters. Hopefully, Great Wall continues to focus on maintaining good flavor and attentive service to keep that standard going.

Great Wall in Cartersville is a hidden gem for authentic Korean-Chinese food! They’re new in town (grand opening on Feb 2), so I wasn’t expecting much, but the flavors blew me away—just like what I ate growing up in Korea for over 50 years. Honestly, it’s better than many Korean-Chinese spots in Duluth’s Koreatown, and now I don’t have to drive 1.5 hours anymore. If you’re searching for the best Korean-Chinese restaurant near me in North Georgia, this is it. Plus, they’re even giving a free bottle of Soju with dinner. Try it—you won’t regret it!

We REALLY wanted to like this place.
It’s not regular chinese food, maybe korean inspired?
We did not see any korean items on the menu, or any of the other dishes posted in the reviews. This is located on Tennessee Street in Cartersville, next to the movie theater.

It’s a very limited menu. Don’t expect all your favorites.
Sadly, it’s one of the worst, but expensive meals we’ve Ever had. $18 per person, $28 for two.
Entree includes egg drop soup, white rice & korean barley tea.
– the portions were Really modest for the price. There won’t be leftovers. Or enough to share an $18 entree.
– The food quality was so poor, it’s border line edible.
The Rice was Literally Refrigerated. Cold, not fresh & not steamed. I imagine the fried rice is just re-heated.
If we get sick, I will update this post. We did not eat it.
-The Mongolian beef was salty, with no hint of sweet. The beef had a Lot of gristle (see pic!) an odd texture, no flavor. Green onions were both over & under cooked.
-The Egg Drop soup had potential, except the broth was watered down as much as possible.
-The iced Korean barley tea was interesting, more earthy than green tea.
– The Kung Pao chicken was fried well, but the quality & especially the texture of the chicken just wasn’t good.
– the Service was Very good & attentive, although there was a little language barrier.
– Nice location & very clean inside. But the kpop music was so loud we moved to another table.
We were the only customers & only one other couple waiting for take out.
Definitely a No Go.
Unfortunately, not worth going back.

We ordered chicken fried rice, orange chicken, and general tso. The chicken fried rice waa terrible. The orange chicken was edible. The general was the only redeeming item but barely. It cost almost 80 dollars and it waa definitely not worth the money or time spent getting.

EXCELLENT food, great service, kind staff! This is probably the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. It beats anything else in Bartow and Floyd counties easily.
