Came in on a slower day, was recommended to try the Chengdu beef noodles. They were very good! An appropriate amount of spice, and you could tell the meat was cooked with time and care. I would say the meat is the highlight of the dish and what makes it worth it. The atmosphere is very good and the server was nice as well. I’ll definitely come back to try something new.

We enjoyed our meal at Chinese Bistro, which specializes in noodle dishes. One of us had Szechuan soup noodles, wheat noodles in broth with a fried egg on top, and Chinese broccoli and black mushrooms. The other had braised pork, also with wheat noodles in a savory broth and Chinese broccoli.
Service was courteous and solicitous. The decor of Chinese Bistro is comfortable without elegant. Since the four of us eating there are getting up in years, we appreciated that the place was quiet and made it possible for us to carry on conversations in which we could hear each other.
This is a place I’d definitely visit again.

My mom and I tried out this spot after a show at the Eccles theater.
I ordered the Mapo Tofu Noodle (Vegetarian) without really knowing what to expect. and it completely blew me away. The tofu came in this incredible, flavorful sauce that was perfectly balanced. Almost sweet and smokey; the tofu itself was silky ajd cooked perfectly. It was served with fresh bok choy that added the nicest touch. The noodles were thick, chewy, and so satisfying. The food itself was very affordable, especially for slc!
The staff were super sweet and helpful, and the store itself was spotless with a modern, trendy feel. Everything about the experience was just great. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I am a regular at Chinese Bistro. -Steps away from city creek mall this restaurant is always clean, provides great service, and the dishes are reasonably portioned and priced. My favorite is the Chengdu Beef Noodles 成都牛肉面. The broth warms your soul and the beef is always tender and delicious.

Completely inedible and horrible, the waitress said it would take 15 min. She came back within 1 min to bring us a ranch and we wanted to cancel the wings. We were told in a done in that we were not able to cancel it and had to pay for it. DONT COME HERE !! There is a reason out of all the restaurant ms on the street this one is always empty !

Very tasty. Beef noodle soup taste smooth. Boundless buffalo wings crispy and tender. My wife like her braised pork rice. And kiddo Aldo like his zha Jiang noodle. We like all our four dishes. Definitely will come back here to try other dishes.

Best wings in the area hands down. Seasoned well and crispy. You can tell they brine their wings because the meat inside is tender/ flavorful.. I got the cumin wings by staff recommendation..
House beef rice noodle soup was good, spicy tangy broth, beef was tender. I would recommend the regular noodles tasted better than the rice noodle but I do appreciate that there is gluten free rice noodle options.
Service was good and the ambiance was casual. I appreciate the lemon infused water. I will definitely come back for the wings and maybe try a different style noodle.

I visited Chinese Bistro with my son and nephew on a chilly evening, and the noodle soups were exactly what we needed; warm, comforting, and full of flavor. We each ordered something different and were all extremely happy with our meals. We’ve been back several times since, which really says it all.
I’m writing this review because I’m planning to take my in-laws there for dinner this week after they recently moved here, and it’s one of the first places I want to introduce them to. I’ve noticed a few negative reviews, which honestly surprises me. From the staff to the service to the food, I’ve had nothing but great experiences every time.

Absolute YUM!!! Will be visiting here again. The staff was helpful when ordering, the dish we were interested in he said wasn’t his favorite and not so popular – but we ordered it anyway and were so delighted and not disappointed at all! It was so yummy! I don’t know why it’s not a more popular dish!! Also the dumplings we had were literally some of the best dumplings we’ve had. And I make dumplings at home too. The chili oil is so on point and we loved them so much. We will be visiting again for sure to try more of the menu.

Not sure why they have an ordering kiosk but still force you to sit for a service dining… This place can use the kiosk for faster turnover especially during lunch hours.
With that said, I’ve tried a few things over time and generally liked them all. Good flavors and soup is very satisfying in cold weather. It’s gotta be the most MSG heavy food in downtown but they do use it well. Many Chinese establishments fail to use MSG well. Give them a try.
