The food was so good! They had so many cool options like frog legs. Pigs brain, oysters squid and even wagyu beef! Everything was super tasty! They have a large selection of vegetables. They also have some desserts and some appetizers! The service was great! They came around constantly to fill up our pot! They also have a great selection of sauces so u can build the perfect one! The environment clean and nicely decorated! I definitely recommend it! My favorite was the spicy soup and the numbing soup!

One of my favorite restaurants in San Gabriel! They offer several all-you-can-eat options, including Hot Pot AYCE, Premium Hot Pot AYCE, BBQ AYCE, and their Luxury AYCE. My personal favorite is the Luxury AYCE, which includes both premium hot pot and BBQ skewers. This option is available for dinner only.
For hot pot, you can choose up to three broths and then order from a huge selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and other hot pot items, along with Chinese BBQ skewers. Desserts are also included and available at the self-serve station. I usually grab the roll cakes. There’s a huge variety overall, so there’s something for everyone!
Parking is easy since there’s a parking lot, and the service is great. The servers are attentive and happy to answer any questions we have about the menu. Always a great experience here!

I went around 6pm and had such a great time! The service was amazing—the waitress was super friendly and explained everything clearly, which made the whole experience fun and easy. The food was incredible—the hot pot and BBQ were packed with flavor, and since it’s all-you-can-eat, there were endless choices at the bar. I especially loved the fountain station (included!) and the draft beer deal—buy two, get one free. The skewers were my absolute favorite—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.

We came here after seeing some paid promotions online — big mistake. Honestly, this place in Chinatown was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time.
We ordered their most expensive BBQ hot pot combo ($58.99 per person, $151 total for two adults and two kids), expecting something decent. Instead, everything was a disappointment. The meat tasted old and sour, like it had been sitting for days. The lamb and beef both had a weird acidic smell that made us doubt their freshness. The seafood didn’t taste fresh at all, and the “fresh shrimp” were clearly frozen and thawed. Even the vegetables were soggy and slimy, like they had been soaking in water for days.
The so-called BBQ was a joke — the meat was rubbery, over-cooked and just tasted wrong. The eggplant came out half raw, and every bite made us regret ordering it. We couldn’t even finish the meal; after just 30 minutes, we gave up and left. On the way home, I actually started feeling stomach discomfort, which tells you everything about their food quality.
No wonder there’s no line and barely any customers. This place needs serious improvement in both food freshness and hygiene. If you care about your stomach, avoid this place — there are plenty of better hotpot or Chinese style BBQ on Valley Blvd that actually deserve your time and money.
Summary: overpriced, unfresh ingredients, bad flavor, terrible service, and questionable food safety.

I really enjoyed my visit to HP BBQ. The attention to detail here is impressive — from the presentation to the seasoning, everything feels thoughtfully prepared. The environment is clean, comfortable, and relaxing, which makes the whole dining experience even better.
The prices are reasonable for the quality you get, and the portions are just right. Overall, great flavor, great ambiance, and great value. I’ll definitely come back again!

Food not great! Soup base is ok. But the service is bad. Their boiling net’s handle doesn’t have heat isolation. Absolutely bad quality ! I burned my finger! !! They only give 10% discount. I am not happy with it! And definitely won’t come again.

One thing I would say that need work on the the service experience but understandable since I was the last table and they probably just wanted me out.

felt like a spot only locals know about and my bf and i stumbled upon secret treasure. love how its a late night spot and the meat was all fresh and delightful, soup was awesome, choices of sides were awesome, i will say though that the sauce station was not getting refilled the entire time of us being there and i really wanted more sesame sauce, i mean that’s the best sauce, i was scraping the bottom of the tub with the ladle and i felt like a gluttonous beast. im sure they would’ve done it if i had asked but i was too busy stuffing my mouth with beef. all in all, super cozy spot with delicious options.
