We stopped by due to the announcement of closing. I had been want to to stop by for a long time but never got around to it previously. Our burgers were delicious. The diner is so cute on the inside. Although I’ve only tried once I am super sad to see this place close. I am hopeful to stop by before the final closure tomorrow. It was very busy when we stopped in on Monday but the ladies handled it very well and in little time I was off with my burgers in hand. Best of luck to all the employees and hope the owners get to enjoy retirement and focus on their health.

I often forget about the tiny gems in this town. After a morning of youth wrestling with my son. We stopped to grab and early lunch at Zwieg’s Grill. Luckly they were still serving breakfast so the kids could experience the awesome pancakes. I ordered a burger and fried and was glad I did. Food and Atmosphere were great, but the service was top tier. Carol did a great job managing the dining room with our 3 antsy children, raging with excitement. I hope to return soon to try other items off the menu.

For the record, I’ve never eaten in a diner before today. When we walked up to the storefront of Zweig’s, I was apprehensive. It’s not much to look at from the outside. Established in 1946 and hasn’t moved since. We opened the door and suddenly it was like stepping into an episode of Seinfeld. Counter with stools, tables nearby, those little metal cans with sugar for your coffee. A time capsule, really.
The space is small, but we ate at around 10 on a Saturday and it wasn’t super busy. Our waitress was kind and quick at taking our order. The food arrived just as quickly. I had a breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheese. I wasn’t a fan of the sausage, so I think next time I would opt for ham. The onion rings were excellent. My partner had a double hamburger and fries, which he enjoyed.
The food was reasonably priced. It is worth noting that all sides are ordered a la carte.
I’d call this place a hidden gem, but I think the folks of Watertown are happy to make this establishment known to visitors!

Picked up broasted chicken today and it’s the best we’ve had ever — and we’ve tried various broaster chicken locations for decades. The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside and nicely seasoned. We appreciate the friendly service at the counter. Recommend this place!

Omg, I cannot recommend this place enough. This is the kind of place you go where anything you order is going to be perfect and you’ll never be disappointed. Everyone knows everyone else, and if you happen to be from out of town no one looks at you weird (except maybe that they feel sorry for you bwcause you won’t get to regularly dine here). There is a cool efficiency about the place but it feels like home. I cant wait to visit here again.

Is there a more perfect burger than this? Maybe, but a double with cheese from Zwieg’s will do every time. I love sitting at the tiny counter and watching the action on the grill. These corner Mom and Pop places are rare, so enjoy while you can.
