Cherry-wood-trimmed pizzeria lures locals with generous slices at lunch & house-brewed beer & soda.

Great pizza and beer place! Stopped here for lunch. My husband and I both got the lunch special(which was only $6 something )one huge slice of pizza and 2 big breadsticks with cheese sauce. Good amount of food for the money!! It was really good! The crust on the pizza was a little thick for my liking, but still good. I do wish they would serve the cheese sauce warmed up…most people don’t want cold cheese sauce…just saying! My hubby tried two beers..the 525 Nut Brown Ale, which he really liked. Also had the Reindeer Red, which he didn’t care for as much. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was good..the girl working wasn’t the most pleasant!

This place was relatively decent ! As someone who is from the District of Columbia (also known as Washington DC) I was pleasantly surprised by the juicy flavors that this place had to offer!
It reminded me of my college days when I was a young scholar in Chicago studying civil engineering. It brought me back to the days when I ate pizza as a scholar in the cold streets of Chicago!
I’m glad to say that it was a delight to eat here for sure ! As my friend chef gusto says “anyone can cook!”
As a certified level 7 google contributor I will give this a 4/5 stars ! Good job !
The only opportunity for improvement I’ll say is that I wish there was a little more flop to the pizza and the price was a little expensive

Zwanzig’s has fallen off! They used to have the best pizza in town, but I can’t say that anymore. It started going downhill awhile back and has gone off a cliff recently. I think the owners focus on the brewery business and not the restaurant and the quality is suffering. Maybe get some new management. The old crew did a great job. Now, it is pretty bad at lunch (see the attached photo) and it is worse at dinner. They can’t make a good pizza anymore. I may go grab a growler from time to time, but I will not be going back for pizza. Sad! I only gave 2 stars because they do have good beer.

ZwanzigZ made a nice little stop on my way to Louisville from up north. I just stopped by to sample their beers, but the pizza did smell good. The beers were excellent, but the Chocolate Ticket really stood out to me. It looks like a light beer but it’s packed with delicious and unexpected flavors. I can see why that is one of their most popular beers. Even if you’re not in the market for a pizza, ZwanzigZ is worth a stop for that beer alone.

Great staff! Mike is one of the best humans we have met.
Definitely take his suggestions on the pepper and herbs on the cheese bread
Devine! Highly recommend!

I’m tossed between a 5 star review or a 3 star review. I think the worse part was the ordering method. Like most , I don’t like waiting in lines. Seems the way you generally order here. I think you can do it on your phone, but I don’t like that any better.
Second, the styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery screams of CHEAP.
The beer that I had was top notch. Caramel Peanut Butter Porter. I’ve heard the others are good too.
The cheesy bread appetizer was delicious.
The Lasagna Pizza , while good, was not outstanding. I’m probably trying to compare it to New Albanian Pizza in New Albany, but nothing compare to theirs.
The staff were very kind. Good job there.
All in all, I’m glad I came, but next time I’ll travel to New Albany ( from Indy ) instead of Columbus.

Great place! I just came for the first time since I was a teen. The crust is the best I’ve ever had.

Worst pizza I ever had. I can’t even describe tasteless dry garbage I tried here. And I had pizza on many different parts of the US and other countries.
I also “love” that the name of the restaurant is locally mispronounced German word for 20, that has no meaning or a story behind it. According to a friendly bartender there, the owners are not German, it’s not 20 beers they produce, the address doesn’t have 20 in it. So why German 20 for the brewery that sells Italian food? Sadly, not too many good restaurant options in Columbus.

I was coming here for about 10 years with my Papa. He lived in Columbus and couldn’t get enough of this place! He passed away 5 years ago and I hadn’t been since. I took my husband last weekend and things were exactly the same. Sometimes change is good but I was looking for nostalgia and comfort. Zwanzig’z have me that with the tasty pizza, beer I’ve missed, and busy atmosphere that never stops. I will have to say I had never waited so long for my food though. This past time with my husband we waited for over an hour and a half for a small pizza and bread sticks. He ordered a salad and after about an hour I asked for it so he didn’t have to eat it with the hot food. We sat at the bar right at the kitchen, so we were in plain sight. I know they saw us. They were super busy but a little attention to customers goes a long way. We will still be going back again in the future for another shot. The food is pretty decent.
