It’s always packed but finally got to visit here. The food was spectacular and so fresh. My HK friend said he always comes to Zuju as it offers food that’s closest to what he gets from his hometown and it’s clean, and it makes sense. The only downside is that the price is slightly higher than other places so highly recommend to go in a group.

It was my first time dining in a Chinese restaurant, it was amazing. I ordered two dishes both were very delicious, extra spicy and in a large quantity. For an indian it was an amazing experience dining in zuju . The ambiance was also very peaceful and relaxing. I like the lychee cocktail very much ,the lemon iced tea was a good combination with the spicy food ,A sip after a bite of food is heaven. I am fully satisfied with the service as well. Zuju is our must go restaurant whenever we go to Newcastle. When you enter a restaurant and you see all Chinese/ Asians, you know this place is authentic. Of course, we see locals all the time in Zuju too. It’s getting even more popular these days that we need to make a reservation. However, for a group of 1-2 pax, only walk in is accepted.
It’s an authentic Chinese restaurant, specialised in North East Cuisine! My fiancé and I always order Kung Pao chicken and Sichuan beef with chilly oil. If you fancy spicy, they are the best! Stir fry garlic with morning glory is a must have too.
Since our mum came along, we ordered stir fry oyster mushrooms and beef with oyster sauce and this dish amazed us and it became our another fav.
We tried hot and sour soup this time but it wasn’t to our taste. For us, it was a little too peppery (white pepper) but if you like white pepper, you probably will find it really tasty!
Kayley and Ms Jiang are lovely! Their service is exceptional 🙂 We are sure we will be back soon!

Easily the best Chinese food I’ve had in decades. I eat Chinese often when traveling to different cities, and this place is a real gem in Newcastle. The food is packed with flavor, super fresh, and served in very generous portions. Prices are excellent for the quality and quantity you get. On top of that, the service was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back on my next visit to Newcastle!

Visited on a Saturday evening with a small group, had an absolutely fantastic time. The place smelled brilliant when we entered so I knew it would be good. We were seated immediately and were ordering shortly after. Food was absolutely stunning, a little out of my usual price range but 100% worth it.
