I dined here with my husband and in-laws, hoping for a special evening. The drinks were fine however one of us ordered a pop that arrived flat and watery, with little to no syrup. It wasn’t a major issue, so they simply ordered a bottled drink instead. The Caesar salads were the highlight of the meal — fresh and enjoyable.
Unfortunately, the main courses were extremely disappointing. All four of us ordered the chicken parmesan, and each plate had the same issues: the chicken was pink inside and very stringy in texture. Two of us paired it with penne alla vodka, which tasted more like an orange-tinted Alfredo sauce than a vodka sauce. The ones that came with alfredo sauce also lacked flavour. The pasta itself was overcooked, mushy, and largely inedible. Overall, the dishes lacked flavor and did not seem properly prepared.
At first glance, the portions appeared generous and seemed like good value given the variety of sides. However, we each left most of our meals untouched. The restaurant did offer 40% off the mains in response to our concerns, which we appreciated. Our server was kind and did her best to assist us throughout the evening.
That said, our bill still came to around $50 per couple for food we barely ate. None of us are typically ones to complain, but all four of us agreed this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. The pizza looked good so perhaps we didn’t order the right items, but regrettably, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
A special shoutout to Lisa, our server, who made the experience even better! She was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Her friendly attitude and great service truly stood out.

We look forward to coming back again soon!
The customer service was genuinely warm and welcoming, which I truly appreciated. The floor staff were polite and made the dining experience feel comfortable.
Unfortunately, the food did not match the quality of the service. The salad was fresh and tasty. However, the chicken and pasta were extremely disappointing. The pasta lacked flavour and tasted bland, as though it hadn’t been properly seasoned. More concerning was the chicken, it was served cold, not just slightly warm but noticeably cold and inedible. It also had a strange, off-putting texture. Being served cold chicken made the dish feel poorly prepared and raised concerns about quality control. It was not enjoyable and ended up being left unfinished.
Given this experience, especially being served cold chicken, I don’t feel confident returning. It’s disappointing because the service was good, but the food quality would need significant improvement for us to consider dining here again.
The rose sauce is where Zucca’s truly earns its reputation. It strikes that perfect balance between a rich tomato base and a velvety cream finish — not too heavy, not too light. It clings to the ravioli beautifully and has just enough acidity to keep every bite from feeling indulgent in a guilty way.
The portion size was generous, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made it feel like you’d stumbled into someone’s family kitchen in northern Italy. This is the kind of dish you think about on the drive home and find yourself craving again by the next morning.
Zucca’s has officially earned a permanent spot in my rotation. Highly recommend — especially if you’re going for the ravioli.
