Was craving some good Dominican food & found this gem. If its a hole in the wall i just know the food is gonna be amazing, and it was! The service is even better, cozy space but you feel right at home. The Morir sonando really had me soñando. The portions are perfect!

Delicious food in a little hole in the wall. Cash only !

I wasn’t sure what to get so asked the server what was good and she made me up a delicious plate of rice/beans/chicken. Massive plate of food for $12 – I shared with my boyfriend !

They were very friendly and as we sat and eat, we saw many many people come and go for takeaway – a cute little find in the city

Love this spot. The lunch special was so hearty and flavorful. The roast pork and the yellow rice were great. The staff were so kind and friendly too. Definitely a strong neighborhood spot.

The staff are very warm and friendly. It’s a small place with only two tables inside and two tables outside. They are CASH ONLY! I ordered the baked chicken, arroz con dules, tostones, plaintains and morir sonando. The ONLY tasty morsel was the chicken. I am a huge arroz con dules fan and have yet to find a place calling itself authentic puerto rican or dominican restaurant that serves up good, abuelita style arroz con dules. The arroz con dules here was EXTREMELY dry and tasteless. I could tell by the sort of greyish appearance it wasnt going to be good. The tostones were very dry inside, the plaintains instead of being a little crunchy outside and sweet and soft inside, was completely dry. Very disappointed especially after reading the positive reviews, which I’m now convinced were written by people who dont know authentic puerto rican/dominican food.

We found this gem in the middle of the city while wandering around. The staff were super nice and they helped us ask for a good combination of dishes to try as many things as possible. Don’t forget to try their juices as well! It seemed like a family-owned business with a great atmosphere. 100% recommended!

The food was fantastic, but the service was absolutely unacceptable.

I’ve attached a photo of our bill, which is a clear scam. We were charged for items that we didn’t order! Other customers either received a detailed receipt or, as regulars, seemed to be charged appropriately.

I strongly advise you to always request an itemized bill to protect yourself from being overcharged. It’s essential to ensure that you are tipping based on what you’ve actually paid for!

Delicious clean food with no fatty mayo based sauces needed. Garlic sauce and hot sauce on top of juicy chicken, big portions, plantains and rice and a side salad make great value, excellent quality food, quick and friendly service. Even the leftovers look tasty!

I accidentally ran into this place. There was a line so we decided to give it a try. And I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing flavors. There was quite a long line as most people were taking the food to go. The place isn’t glamorous but who cares as long as the place is clean and food is fresh and delicious. They had a couple of community tables with a few chairs. The prices were very reasonable and the lady who helped me with food was extremely helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the meal very much, the tres leches was tasty but wished it was a bit more moist. Will surely visit when in NYC again.

This is honestly one of the best Central/South American food we’ve eaten in North America!

First of all, the food was absolutely delicious. I had the baked chicken and my friend had the roasted pork (both comes with rice/noodles, red/black beans and plantain). Both our meats was absolutely delicious, and their plantains are in my opinion the best plantains I’ve eaten so far. Best thing is, both our meals costed only about $8.50 each!!!!

Secondly, the owners were super friendly to us. We both had no idea what to order as there was no menu, and the owner took the time to explain to us several recommendations.

Third, the owner took the trouble to set up extra chairs for us as there were not enough of them.

Would definitely come back here again!
