Zooroona is a hidden gem! The atmosphere was lovely and fit with the cuisine. The lanterns, table wear, and decor are beautiful, and it was fun sitting in the private, fancy booth. The food was great—highly recommend the beef shoulder with balsamic and the Turkish coffee. The staff was attentive and polite. The lamb shank was good, but slightly tough.

Absolutely fantastic and delicious food!! The flavor is out of this world. The atmosphere is incredible. I love the booths with the couches. It was super easy to call and make a reservation. Staff were really nice. Definitely a must if you’re in Kalamazoo!

I went for the lamb medley over hummus! Always a favorite… family had other various recommended dishes, Salmon Kabob, Chicken Biryani, and everything had such amazing flavor!

I came with my daughter for lunch. We ordered the kids’ chicken shawarma with rice, and the Lebanese lamb medley over hummus. Both were delicious! The kids’ meal was a lot of food for the price. We would definitely come back again.

Everything was fantastic, my only complaint is having not visited sooner. Highly recommend the baklawa cheese cake, mediterranean street fries, chili fry, and chicken shawarma wrap. All of the staff was wonderful and we loved the atmosphere, very cozy… hoping to come back and take advantage of one of the big corner booths with a larger group.

My husband and I’s first time coming here and definitely not our last! The Mixed grill was top tier and the lentil soup was delicious! I’m picky about lentil soup but this one was great. The servers and the owner were all so kind. The host was extremely sweet and the restaurant itself felt like a true middle eastern restaurant. We were given Zeit and Zaatar right when we sat down which was lovely. The baklava was so tasty and fresh!

Such a delightful place. We enjoyed a wonderful evening and were fortunate to have the front corner booth. Round table easily seat 8 and the walls give it a sense of privacy and allow for great conversation.
Our server (Team Z) was attentive and helpful. We never felt rushed and had good conversation with the staff.
We had 3 people celebrating birthdays and all enjoyed their complimentary desserts. The cheese cake is fabulous. The gluten-free dessert if dates also excellent.
Some enjoyed wine to begin with and two of us had the Turkish coffee. Hot ans strong and served in a beautiful small pot. Very nice.
Most folks had the lentil soup which looked good. I had the Spicy Moroccan Soup and it was fantastic. I ordered a cup and recmm
received a small bowl. The taste was rich and savoury. It had chickpeas vegetables ans spices. I could make a meal of that.
We enjoyed many different main courses including the gluten-free Spiced Beef with figs. My wife found this delicious and ate it all which was a good size portion. One other person found it too spice.
Two others had the lamb medley over humus which they declared good.
I found the Beef Shoulder to be a huge portion and wonderful. At first glance the beef looked over cooked but that was just the rich dark sauce. Cutting into the meat if had a nice pink center and melted in a my mouth. The Beef came with curry potatoes which were soft and tasty. Also came with roasted Brussels sprouts that were crispy and sweet. Just wonderful. I ended up taking some home the portion was so generous.
This is a delightful place for a gathering. Good atmosphere and great food served at a reasonable price.

The food here is top notch Mediteranian fare. There are no complimentary starters, and hummus, pita,etc. have to be ordered in addition to most meals. House specialty drinks are very good. The platters are a nice way to get a little of many dishes.
Service is usually ok, but a bit slower than at some restaurants. My most recent experience, I unfortunately waited over an hour for the entree, check backs were lengthy waits as well. As good as the food is, I am unsure that I want to experience this level of inattentiveness or error in the wait staff.
