WAY too good.
And the space? Absolutely gorgeous —
that emerald green paired with mocha is chef’s kiss
What we had and loved-
Pistachio Lassi (MUST TRY)
Pomegranate Mojito
Crispy cauliflower
Falafel (sooo good covered in sesame)
Hummus and pita (absolutely delicious)
Beet salad
Couscous (beautiful)
Baba ganoush
The best BAKLAVA ever!
Standout dishes included the Hummus Bel Filet, Charred Malfoof, and baked Kibbe — all full of flavor and prepared with care. The roasted chicken was especially impressive, juicy and perfectly seasoned with a rich, balanced sauce.
We also enjoyed a glass of red wine with the meal, which paired nicely with the food. The space is warm and inviting, and the team is welcoming and attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Belt Line area.
we got a truly memorable, high-quality dining experience that felt like a special treat without the high-end price tag.
The managers where friendly and our waiters Charlie and Jared where very attentive .
Highly recommend ZonZon for a perfect night out!” !
From the moment you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by the warm and calming decor that sets the tone for your experience at Zon Zon.
The staff was attentive and helpful, and never intrusive. Our group of six had a selection of menu items that were all spot on, full of flavor and beautifully presented and served.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have good food in a great atmosphere.
The baked kibbeh was rich with flavor and the charred tuna was honestly one of the best plates of the night. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor and absolutely amazing.
For dessert we tried the Special Cheesecake was made special by the chef, the mahalebi, the chocolate mousse with ice cream and their baklava with gelato. Every single one was so good and we enjoyed every bite.
Beautiful dishes, great flavors and definitely a place we will be coming back to.
Carlos was our server and he was absolutely fantastic. He genuinely elevated the evening with thoughtful recommendations, great pacing, and even a bit of background on the restaurant, which has only been open for about a week. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience feel personal and intentional.
We started with the hummus, which was outstanding; the flavor was incredible, and the pita bread was truly phenomenal. Warm, perfectly textured, and easily some of the best pita I’ve had.
For mains, I ordered the steak shawarma frites, and my friend had the chicken shish kebabs. Both dishes were fantastic. The chicken was perfectly cooked and paired with rice that had subtle aromatic notes (we think cinnamon), which really made it stand out. My steak was cooked beautifully and very flavorful. The shawarma dish comes with bite-sized pita pieces, which is a generous portion. While I understand keeping them plain so they don’t overpower the dish, I personally preferred the larger za’atar-seasoned pita that comes with the hummus; the texture was just a bit more satisfying.
I also tried the mint lemonade, which was refreshing and well-balanced. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to offer it as a frappé option. The flavor was great, but served traditionally it didn’t quite stand out as much as I expected.
For dessert, we had the baklava, and the flavors were excellent. Carlos did a great job setting expectations, and the presentation was beautiful. The rolls themselves were crisp and delicious, and everything worked well together. That said, the crumb component felt a bit heavy; slightly less of it, or a bit more ice cream, would really perfect the balance.
Beyond the food, the decor, ambiance, music, furniture, and overall aesthetic are all incredibly well done. The space feels sophisticated and stylish, and it’s definitely a great spot for photos.
For a restaurant that’s only been open about a week, they’re off to an incredible start. Five stars are well deserved. Even with my small suggestions, I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back. Prices felt reasonable for the quality of food, service, and overall experience.
And lastly but most importantly the food. Best falafel i have eaten and the bread was freshly baked and perfectly cooked chicken. Rice with the chicken was also cooked with the same care.
